Lately, I have been wondering if it would be better to let the South Secede from the United States or perhaps the North would like to drop the Southern States. Is the political divide becoming too much and making the country ungovernable. This would be very difficult but do you thing it would be worth discussing.

As I read questions and answers I cannot help but get the feeling that hated of Americans for one another is becoming an epidemic. This does not square with my knowledge of Americans that I have met or relatives that I have in the U.S. I am also aware that there seems to be a proliferation of hate groups in the U.S. Midwest and South. Is this merely rhetoric going on between political factions or is this the end of the American Empire or is the problem economic.
