  • Need help with a sibling name for Ireland...?

My cousin's daughter's name is Ireland, and she needs boys and girls names that flow well with her daughter's name.

She prefers different/unique names. If you have any suggestions, send them my way!

    Thanks!

  • sibling names to go with Ireland?

My cousin has a little girl named Ireland, and now she is pregnant with her second. She doesn't know the sex of the baby yet, but she is stumped for girl and boy names. She likes different/unique names, and something that flows well with Ireland.

    Thanks for the help!

  • My husband is so immature....?!?!?

I'm not sure why I'm posting this... maybe I just need to vent....

A few of my close girlfriends wanted me to go to the movies with them today, and of course I wanted to, so I asked my husband if he would stay home with our son, who is 15 months (and by the way, I hardly ever get to see my girlfriends, and my husband is always with his friends, while I watch our son). My husband agreed to watch our son and said when I got home, that he was going over to his friends house.

Well, the movie was longer than expected, and my husband keeps texting me "When are you going to be home" and he is pissed that I am taking longer.

I call him when I get out of the movie, and he's mad and swearing at me.

Is this really necessary? I hardly ever go out with my friends, and I'm always the one to stay home with our son. The one time I get to be with the girls, and he is being such a jerk to me. Shouldn't he be happy for me to have some "me" time?

He is a very selfish person and it makes me feel so stuck.

I guess I just need some positive feedback, since my husband won't give it to me.

  • Road trip with a baby???

My husband and I are talking about a small road trip to visit family after our baby is born. Nothing too long, maybe just a long weekend. We are thinking about taking the trip when the baby is around 2 months. I've heard that while the baby is still young is a good time to take a small road trip, because the driving can help put them to sleep. Opinions on this?

I was wondering if anyone else has done this and tell me about your experience.

    Thanks!

  • Baptism????

My husband and I are not sure if we are going to circumcise our son (he is due in early October). I was just wondering if this has an effect on the decision to baptise in the Catholic Church?

    Thanks for the help!

  • California mommies....?

After the birth of the baby, does the hospital take care of the birth certificate and social security card? Or are these things that the parents have to figure out? I am planning on asking my doctor at next appt. but I'm just trying to figure everything out ahead of time.

    Thanks!

  • To the mothers who chose not to circumcise your son....?

Why did you choose not to? Have you had any problems, and if so, what? Are you happy about your decision not to circumcise? And how old is your son?

Just trying to get as much info and opinions about it as possible. Thanks!

  • Anyone else tired of being pregnant?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy hearing the baby's heartbeat, having ultrasounds, feeling him kick all the time, and I'm so excited to get to meet him soon.

However, I'm 31 weeks along, and I'm starting to feel heavy, and tired all the time, and my back and hips have been hurting so bad, that I can't sleep anymore, etc. I still have about 8 more weeks, but it feels like so far away!

    Anyone else feel this way?

  • 30 weeks pregnant, and husband recently lost job...?

I am 30 weeks pregnant, and my husband recently lost his job. I am working part time right now, but I will only be working for about 1 or 2 more months until the baby is born. We are in an extreme financial situation because of this, and I've run out of ideas to get us through. My husband has been actively trying to look for work, but so far, hasn't found anything. I don't know what to do anymore, and I'm really scared and stressed out.

Anyone else in a similar situation? I guess I'm just looking for some positive words. Thanks!

  • Opinions on baby boy name?...?

My husband and I just found out that we are having a baby boy! We have been disagreeing on names for the past couple months, but now we have finally started to agree on two names, and I wanted to get opinions on them.

    Mackenzie William

    Logan William

(William is after my dad, so that name stays!)

    Thanks everyone for your opinions!

  • How much weight have you gained in your pregnancy so far?

I know that a healthy weight gain during pregnancy is between 25-35 lbs. but I was just wondering how far along everyone is and how much weight they have gained so far. Do you try to stick within these guidlines, or are you throwing caution to the wind? Just curious =)

  • Need help with baby boy names...?

I posted a similar question a few days ago, but I did not get the response I was looking for.

I am 21 weeks along, but my husband and I don't know the sex of the baby yet. We have a girls name picked out, but cannot agree on a boys name. We are looking for unique names. The middle name is going to be William (after my dad). Please help, I am running out of ideas!

    Thanks everyone! =)

  • When is your due date?

When is everyone's due date, and what are you having? What are some things you are looking forward to in your pregnancy? I'm just asking because I like the comraderie between women who are going through the same experience.

    I'm due October 9, 2007.

Not sure what the sex is yet.

I'm looking forward to my ultrasound next month! I can't wait :)

  • Question about naming baby...?

I am 19 weeks along, due in October. My husband and I don't know the sex of the baby yet, (we will find out in June). We have a girls name picked out (Lily Michelle) but we cannot agree on a boys name. My husband wants to go with Gunnar, and I love the name Benjamin, but we cannot come to a decision. In fact, I really dislike the name Gunnar, and wouldn't want to call my son that. The middle name will be William (after my dad).

We are to the point where we are butting heads over it, and we have decided not to talk about it, until we find out the sex of the baby.

My question is, has anyone else had trouble agreeing on a name, and if so, did you eventually give in to a name that you did not like?

  • What are some expenses to plan for when expecting a baby?

After the baby is born, and after purchasing big items for the nursery, what are some expenses to plan for? I'm talking about weekly necesities, like diapers, etc.

I'm just trying to get a financial plan in order to prepare for my baby due in October. Thanks everyone for the help!
