Download disconnect/connect [timeout] on fileserve?
When I am downloading at home (doesnt happen at work) off of fileserve, almost all of my downloads will timeout in the middle of the download. The progess bar (using Firefox) will show that it is still downloading, but it actually does not progress. If I pause->resume the download, it will start downloading again from where it timed out. I am assuming this is due to my network (I have FiOS). Any help would be appreciated.
I also receive an error that the source file could not be saved or read (forgot exactly what it says). Happens many times with my downloads.

answer should be 3x10^7 m/s
2 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoPhysics--impedance, current, maximum potential, resonant frequency, power?
Resistance R = 100 ohms, inductance L = 0.005 H, and capacitance C = 0.5 uF are connected in series with an ac generator with the alternating emf E = 10sin(6500t).
A. Find the impedance of the circuit. (should be 300)
B. Find the current in the circuit (magnitude and phase). (I in mA, in degrees) [should be 34.sin(6500t+70)]
C. Find the maximum potential across the inductance (V) (should be 1.1)
D. Find the resonant frequency. (in Hz) (should be 3200)
E. Find the power dissipated in the circuit (should be 58 mW)
Thank you!!

The magnetic field B = 0.5j is acting on proton moving in xy plane with velocity v =105i +105j (in m/s). Find the force acting on the proton.
Answer is to be 8 x 10^-15 N, in the positive z-direction
Please explain how to get it and the work. Thank you
1 AnswerPhysics1 decade agoPhysics--charge, distance, current, velocity, force?
A particle with positive charge q=.3 x 10^-6 -C is a distance d=1.5 x 10^-2-m from a long straight wire that carries a current i=5-A. The particle is traveling with speed v = 1000 m/s perpendicular to the wire. What are the direction and magnitude of the force on the particle if it is moving away from the wire? (in N)
Answer is to be 2.0 x 10^-8

An electric generator consists of turns of wire formed into a rectangular loop a = 0.05 m by b = 0.03 m placed entirely in a uniform magnetic field with magnitude Bo=2.5-T. What is the maximum value of the emf produced when the loop is spun at w=1000 rev/min about an axis perpendicular to B?
Answer is suppose to be 196 but i dont understand how to get it.

2 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoCan I connect a video game console (such as Nintendo Wii) to a computer monitor? If so, how?
I would like to connect my video game console to my computer monitor. I am not able to have a television set in my room, and i would love to play video games off of my monitor in my spare time. Is there anyway todo this without buying a new PC or video card. (I do not mind turning off the computer or disconnecting the VGA cable from the PC to play a video game)
