  • How can I access my hotmail through an email client once DAV is phased out?

As anyone who has a hotmail account probably knows by now, Miscrosoft is phasing out the WebDAV protocol (the http method by which Outlook Express and the Thunderbird Webmail plugin access hotmail). They suggest you download their new Live Mail client. Yeah right! No way in hell I'm downloading some useless MS program that if probably loaded with spyware just to read my hotmail. Surely there is another way. I could forward my hotmail to Gmail (who provide both POP3 and IMAP support - *hint**hint* microsoft), but then M$ would delete my hotmail account after 120 days because I never log in anymore (thankfully, the thunderbird plugin pings counted as logins so I never have to use their horrible WebUI).

    All in all, very frustrating.

I'm open to suggestions. Bonus points for a solution that doesn't require me to be running Windows.

  • Where can you buy 20-oz (591 mL) sodas in bulk?

I have been buying 5-6 bottles of Dr. Pepper a week from the vending machines at work, and at $1.25 a pop, that's a little ridiculous. I don't like the taste of it in cans - I find the aluminium gives the drink an unusual flavour. However, I can't find anywhere to buy the 20-oz bottles in bulk. I have looked at Costco, Wal-Mart, Safeway... no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to buy maybe 2-3 dozen bottles, and keep them in the fridge.

  • Can I give away or sell a complimentary 2-day park hopper for Disneyland?

I went to Disneyland about a year ago, and I ended up getting a free 2-day park hopper pass that was good for 2 years. I haven't used it at all yet. It has my name printed on the back, but I live on the East coast and am not going to be able to use it before it expires.

I was wondering if it would be possible for me to give it away to some friends in California, or possibly sell it? I'm not trying to be greedy, I just don't want it to go to waste.

  • Is it possible to have a laptop act as a wifi hotspot?

I currently do not have a wifi router, but I have 2 laptops. If I plug one laptop into the RJ-45 cable to connect to the internet, is there any way I can use the laptop's wireless to allow my other laptop to also connect to the internet? Both are running XP. I'll have my router back in a couple days, I just want to get both computers connected until then.

  • Is the rear defrost covered under Hyundai's 5-year warranty?

I have a 2005 Elantra and about half the defrost lines on the back window have stopped working. It's still covered under the manufacturer's 5-year warranty, but does anyone know if that would be covered? I know a lot of electrical things are not covered.

    Thanks.

  • Where is the best place to go for crab in or around Washington DC?

I've got some people coming from Canada to visit, and I want to take them for some real, authentic Chesapeake Crab. I'm picking them up from Reagan, but I don't mind driving a little ways.

Where's the best place to go to get good crab? A view of the water would be a bonus.

  • Why do I keep having to sign in?

Every 4 or 5 questions I read or try to answer, I get kicked back to the sign in screen, and then it forgets what I was doing, so I have to go back and re-submit my answer...

Is there any way to turn that off?

  • Can anyone tell me the name of this background music from that new VISA commercial?

Has anyone else seen that Visa commercial where there's an assembly line in a restaurant and people are getting served really fast because they are all using their Visa cards, and then some guy pays cash and everything grinds to a halt?

    If you haven't, here's a link: http://usa.visa.com/personal/visa_brings_you/adver...

Anyway, I want to know what the name of the piece they use as the background music is.

    Does anyone know?
