  • Going Crazy about Kubrick?

    There are those who go loopy over Lean whilst others go hyper about Hitchcock and then there are those who go crazy for Kubrick. Whilst I can appreciate the importance of Alfred Hitchcock and David Lean when it comes to cinema I struggle to see what is so great about Stanley Kubrick's movies. Can someone explain why his movies are generally held in such high esteem because having watched many of his movies including "Paths of Glory", "A Clockwork Orange" and "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" I don't get what is so great about his movies.

  • The Star Wars Holiday Special!!!?

    I've just learned that back in 1978 they made "The Star Wars Holiday Special" and that it is meant to be the worst movie ever made. Has anyone seen it and is it really that bad?
