  • Marineland Stealth Heaters -RECALL NOTICE?

    Thi sis more of a notice*** I just got a recall notice regarding all Marineland Stealth Heaters. You can return them to your local petco or petsmart for a refund or replacement, regardless if you still have the receipt. I have 5 of the heaters and recently had trouble with two of them. The temperature dropped in one of my tanks and I had to crank them all the way up, and they still would not heat up. I had to unplug them to reset them.

    If you exchange them at the store, I recommend calling ahead to make sure they have enough adequate replacements, if your going to swap them out in the same day.

    Has anyone else had trouble with these heaters? Below is the notice I got from Big Al's

    Marineland is currently investigating a potential quality issue with respect to certain models of the Stealth Pro Heater line. As a result of these issues Marineland has suspended sales of the 100, 150, 200, 250, and 300 watt models of the Stealth Pro Submersible Heater line. If you have any questions about this withdrawal please contact Marineland customer service at (800) 338-4896 or (800) 526-0650.

    Should you currently be operating one of the aforementioned models, we request that you immediately discontinue its use and take the following steps:

    Unplug the heater from the wall to stop the flow of electricity

    Allow the heater to cool for 15 minutes

    Remove the heater from your aquarium

    As your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us, we are happy to offer you a refund or comparable replacement. Please contact Big Al’s Online customer service at 1 (888) 824-4257 to arrange a proper return and exchange or refund of the Marineland Stealth Pro heater that you purchased from us.   • 2000 Dodge Durango Starting Problem..?

    4.7L 4x4 - after the vehicle has been sitting for a few hours, it will not even try to start on the First turn of the key. The dash lights and Radio play, but it won't make any other sound. No turn-over, no clicking, no nothing. The Second try.. she'll fire right-up with no problem. I imagine this is a sign of things to come.

    The battery is under 2 years old, original starter. I'm having them both tested soon.

    Has anyone experienced this and know a quick & easy resolve?

    Or do I have to work my way through the process of elimination???
