We have a neighbor who lives up the road in a camper behind a burned out gas station. He is 62 and gets social security and food stamps, but that is all. He is diabetic and does not get medicaid or other medical help. He used to ride a bike to town for groceries and stuff (over 10 miles one way!) but my husband has been taking him around for errands. He has no living relatives nearby. He has said he might like to move into a nursing home as he is tired of being alone and also he does not have much money for even food. He doesn't know how to look for information on nursing homes or possibly other programs he might qualify for, but surely he would qualify for something?! He does not have a phone, car, etc., and my husband thought I might be able to find out something online. I would appreciate any ideas on where to look for info.
