How long before I need to put in more engine coolant? *Urgent*?
I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla, about 35K miles, I get the oil changed every 3K miles religiously. I am going to my hometown tomorrow about 11 hours away for a wedding that is happening on Saturday. So I usually check everything with my car the day before to ensure that my tires are not low and the oil is plenty and such. I had the oil changed last week as well. This morning, I went to add more windshield wiper fluid and I noticed that my pink engine coolant is about an inch above the "Low" mark line on the little coolant tank. I do not want to risk having my engine overheat, but I am leaving tomorrow at 5am to get to my hometown in time for the rehearsal dinner.
I have a few questions:
-How many more miles can this remaining amount last before I have to get this system serviced?
-Would it be okay to drive 11 hours (round-trip), and then make plans to have the engine coolant system serviced next week?
-Can I add more of the pink engine coolant to it without having to flush out the system on my own (if I needed to- today)?
-Typically, how long can a brand new car, with a new tank of engine coolant usually last? (Just wondering as I bought this car brand new in '08 and would like to know for future reference)
*I live in South Florida and will be driving to my hometown in Georgia tomorrow at 5am, I have Advance Auto Parts across the street, I already have had the oil changed and new brake pads replaced- kind of need to stretch my dollar til next week when I get my paycheck in first thing on Monday.

I dreamed that I went on a dirt road ride with my friends and family and met and befriended a Native American or Eskimo hunter on the side of the road wearing full body in white fur skin, looked like buffalo head or wolf head on the skin on the back.... couldn't tell.
The people I was with were afraid to talk to him and I ignored their comments and asked him to come ride with us. So he did, came to the house with us and we had prepared dinner and no one had asked him to come and sit down and eat with us, so I did.
He smiled at me and handed me a plate of cooked meat.
Then I woke up.
2 AnswersDream Interpretation1 decade agoGetting married in September 2011, on a Monday or Tuesday. We want to have a Florida Beach Wedding... Where?!?
My FH and I have been engaged since January 2009. I've been thinking about what kind of wedding we want for the past year and we've come to the conclusion that we want a beach wedding. We live in South Florida near West Palm. We've been living here for the past year and half. We do want a simple wedding and let the beach scenery and palm trees be the main decor of our wedding. (No tacky arches and other opulent decor). We've decided to marry in September after a very lengthy discussion with my FH. He wanted July, but I warned him of the hurricane season and rain and very very very hot days. September is good enough for me, but I won't go for October or November because I'm superstitious enough that most of my relatives have married and divorced in those months! I would love a December wedding, but again, it'd be too hectic for our relatives to fly in between Thanksgiving and Christmas events.
As for the # of people we're having, we're actually having a very intimate wedding, our mothers will definitely be there, and probably 15 of our closest friends. We would send invites out to 50+ people, but we know that at least 10 would be able to make it (we have friends and relatives from NY, Chicago, California, Georgia, NJ, etc etc!)
What I am trying to find out is which beach- in your opinion from living/visiting in Florida- is the best in September? We would like to go on the West coast of FL, but would not mind having it on the East coast. Remember, we would love to have a very nice scenery of the beach, rocks, and palm trees- that would be a PLUS!
Islands like the Peanut Island could be a great example....
4 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoWhich celebrities/famous people who have/had more than 1 year engagements prior marrying?
My fiance and I of 3 years are having a 2 year engagement, we're marrying July 23, 2011. We've decided to do this because we want to pay for our wedding independently and to have an easy going planning (I'm nt going to be a bridezilla or go overboard with the decor either). I would like to have some examples of well known people who have had engagements longer than a year as an inspiration :D
