Ok, my sister's husband went to jail for 5 months for a crime that both her and him say that he didn't commit. She even showed us the lie detector test that proved that he didn't do anything (sex offense, but had NOTHING to do with his daughter), but because of the fear of conviction and doing up to 5 years for something he didn't do, he took a plea bargain and is getting 5 months. They have one daughter, who thinks Daddy is on a "business trip". I feel so bad for my sister. Her and her husband have been married for over 5 years, and she is scared because he might end up on the Sex Offender Registry and she doesn't want this to negatively affect their child or herself. She calls me all the time asking for advice... and I don't know what to tell her... should she stay with him even though he is in jail and might end up on the sex offender registry?? (BTW, I saw the lie detector results as well and he did pass everything but the ADA still wasn't willing to drop the charges).
