My boyfriend and I have been together for 9 months, with absolutely no rough patches (well, one, but it lasted about 5 minutes). I stayed with him for 2 weeks between apartments, and currently he's staying with me for July. We've talked about going to grad schools in the same city, and started researching towns to live after we graduate, names for our kids.... Basically, we're both really into this.

Recently the conversation came up to moving in together (my roomate suggested that the 3 of us find another place when we get kicked out), but later that night he called the idea "scary." The next morning, after I had been quiet (hurt by the word scary), he blurted out "I'd love to move into a place with you" as we were saying goodbye before work. (I kind of have a feeling it was just to make me happy though.)

Anyway, what do you think? I am especially interested in hearing from guys. Answer my question with a serious answer and I'll answer one of yours!

Is it possible for depression caused by taking birth control pills to be delayed, or basically not start until several months into taking the pill? I started taking the pill at the beginning of February, and last week started feeling depressed. Is it likely that this is pill related, or should I look to other factors?

I just got my period 2 days early, and it was somewhat lighter than normal, but nearly as long as normal (well, shorter by about 12 hours, I guess). Could this be due to the fact that I really didn't eat much last week, and have recently gotten back into my (competitive college athletics) exercise routine? I have been having sex, protected, and the condom hasn't broken or anything like that, so we can rule that out.

I'm debating whether or not to swim on my college swim team again next year (I swim for a small liberal arts women's college in California; we're D3). I've swam the past 2 years, and loved it the first year, but last year major drama went down... And the only two friends I had on the team are gone, leaving me with a bunch of "frienemies" (new radicals song) and two enemies. I'm starting my junior year, the year that matters a ton for law school, so I really should focus on school, but...

I love competing, and I love the traveling trips. I swim fly, and there is just something about getting out there and pounding on that water that I love, and I know that without the team I won't do that nearly so much. Hopefully you swimmers understand this.

Anyways, your advice? All my friends who see the pain I endure are telling me to quit the team, focus on school, but I feel like my family etc want me to stay. Plus I never did sports in high school, so this is my chance.

I am driving my old car while my much newer Benz is in the shop... And I have a feeling that the transmission is going out. It's a 1980 Volvo, and when I am going along on a flat road with my foot evenly on the gas, it shifts up and down and up and down (it's only got 3 gears, so between 2nd and 3rd). I have been driving my boss's car, but now he needs it back, so I have to drive the volvo home. However, I work in a town and live in the mountains, about 12 miles away. If the transmission completely dies on my way home, what's going to happen? Does the steering lock up or anything? How long after it starts doing this does it take? This is the first time I've driven the car in about 4 months, I kind of abandoned it when I bought the Mercedes and just waiting til I had the time to sell it, but now I need to drive it for about another day. I checked the fluids; they're all fine.

I managed to get a huge gash in the back half of my driveshaft in my '93 190e (2.6; though I don't know if engine size matters for these). Anyone know where I can get one for less than $620, which is what the dealer wants? I've tried Autohaus; they don't carry them.

I am fixing up my resume to submit it for a job, and I've googled sites that help you build your resume... However, they all say something different with regards to references! The one thing that is similar amongst all of them is that your resume should only be one page long, however, I can't keep mine to just one page and include references... So a site I visited suggested the line, "References available upon request," but another says that 'references available upon request' is kind of a 'duh,' and now I'm stuck. This is for a job within the government, so if anyone out there reading this has an inside to what the government likes to see, that would be much appreciated.

There's this guy... We've flirted and dated to the ends of the earth, but he's never kissed me. I might mention that I kind of, err, not-so-gracefully rejected him... twice.. two years ago. When we're together, everything is great... And that's part of the reason why I haven't verbally expressed exactly how I feel. Okay, so maybe THE reason why. I can't bear the thought of things being any less than they are, however the thought of more is certainly very appealing. (I would go as far as to say I think he could be 'the one,' and several of my friends have expressed the same thought with regards to how he is my other half.)

Back to to the problem... He hasn't kissed me, and while I have been so very tempted, I have yet to actually act on this. Or tell him how I feel. Help? What exactly is the best way to do this? (I also might mention he goes to school 2,000 miles away from me, so after August he'll be gone til Christmas... Though we've already talked about me flying out to visit).

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop, it's 2 years old, and recently it's been having this problem... When I turn it on, the screen doesn't always turn on, although the rest of it goes through the proper noises, and it makes this weird beeping noise 8 times (through the speakers). So I disconnect it from all power sources and reconnect it, and I've noticed that if I leave it on for a while and let it warm up sometimes the screen will turn on after that... Last night it went for 2 hours like this, and then FINALLY turned on. Once it turns on, it boots up like nothing happened- no error windows or anything. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what's wrong? I'd kind of like to have an idea of what's going on before taking it into the computer shop...

Is there a way to merge documents on Adobe Acrobat? My boss had me scan in a document onto the computer to be emailed, but I had to do it in 3 sets because it was too much paper to feed into the copier/scanner. Now I'd like to make those 3 documents all part of 1. Help??? (not sure which version, I think 5.0... Under the copyright stuff it says 1997-2001, so I'm assuming that means this came out in 2001.)

So, this guy that I've 'sort of' been dating (undefined, I'm working on that, see my other question) asked me to cook for him... I thought he meant it jokingly, but upon reflection realized he meant it. Then, when he called me before his flight (again, other question), he asked if I'd been practicing for him (in a sweet teasing way)... My only problem is, I have absolutely no idea what to cook him. He likes pretty much everything, so I think I'd be safe with anything...

My question for you is, is there any specific dish that screams "I am head over heels for you, PLEASE kiss me now?" Or what are your favorites?

Phone call to a girl before his plane flight, if they're technically dating but he hasn't kissed her? (If you read my other question, this is the same guy, but please note he was play slapping my face nothing else.) AKA, anyone really good at judging guy's feelings when they're otherwise unreadable?
