Hangin' around SW Missouri

For the past 3 years my husband and I go to Playa del Carmen. This year he is wanting to try some place new. So if you had to compare the 2 places what are the differences. Who costs more?? - beaches ?? -- things to do ??

Going to Playa del Carmen in Oct. We want to take the ferry over to Cozumel. Once we get there what should we do. We're not snorkeler's. We love hanging out the beach w/ some drinks. What is there to see? And I read about Passion Island but they only let the cruise ship people go there ???? What about renting mopeds???

Ok I have a really nice 2000 mustang 5 speed and it has a problem that I can't get properly diagnosed. The clutch is very stiff. And when shifting, its very tight. I've had the car 3 yrs and its always been stiff and tight but now more than ever. So does something need to be adjusted or replaced ?? We just replaced the rearend about 4 months ago.

We're getting ready to go to Playa del Carmen - in 3 weeks. Last year we stayed at the Barcelo Maya Tropical and did the shopping tour, ATV tour and drinking tour (wow was that fun). After reading lots and lots of information on tours and excursions - I'd rather hear what you've experienced first hand. Maybe give me some ideas. My husband and I are doing the ATV tour but one day we are taking the ferry over to Cozumel and don't have a clue on what to do when you step off the ferry. I do read the reviews on TripAdvisor but sometimes that just gets to overwhelming.

Anyone gonna be around Playa the week of Oct 11-15th ?

This is our 2nd trip - so we're still pretty green at this.
