if I own a piece of artwork...?
Then do I have the right to copy that piece of art or use it for commercial purposes?
The artwork was drawn in 1952 by a british writer/illustrator who died in 1973. I am in the United States. Not sure how international copyright or even plain old copyright rules work.
Of course I'd check with a lawyer before I did anything final (which I'm not necessarily planning to), but it's cheaper to get on here and find out what I'm up against first.

I found a reference to Robert stewart, MP, as one of the original members of the Reform Club in london (circa 1820-ish). Is this the same robert stewart MP as viscount castlereagh (and marquess of derry)? or was there another one? anyone know where I might look this up?
1 AnswerHistory1 decade agoCan someone give me the lyrics to Brunhilde's song...?
At the end of the Wagnerian opera Gotterdammerung? That is, what exactly does "The fat lady" sing when "It's over"?
is there a site or a book where i can find these lyrics, if no one knows them offhand? Reading German is not a problem for me.
