  • Bio 2: Which is the Correct Sequence of Blood Flow?

I have all the rest of the answers (there are 153 questions total on this worksheet), but this one is really bogging my mind down because I cannot find the right answer anywhere. Most texts say that the starting point is with the vena cava, but they don't say if it is the inferior vena cava, or the superior vena cava. So without further ado, here is the question:

Which of the following is the correct flow of blood through the heart if that blood is returning to the heart from the lungs?

I have narrowed it down to these 2 possible answers:

    A) Inferior vena cava- R. Atrium- R. Ventricle- Pulmonary Artery- Lungs- Pulmonary Veins- L. Atrium- L. Ventricle- Aorta

    B) Superior Vena Cava- R. Atrium- R. Ventricle- Pulmonary Artery- Lungs- Pulmonary Veins- L. Atrium- L. Ventricle- Aorta

My gut is telling me it is A, but a second opinion is appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • How Hard of a Schedule is This?

I am entering college at a local community college. I was wondering how hard, on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the easiest and 10 being the hardest, that this schedule is, and why. I appreciate any advice and any help I can get, and I appreciate every answer! I am kinda nervous going into this semester, so any help is much appreciated.

    Monday:

    Principles of Accounting 1- 8:00-8:55

    Macroeconomics- 9:05-10:00

    Cultural Geography- 1:55-3:20

(I also tutor for 4 hours between economics and geography classes... mainly homework time though is what it is.. but I get paid for it, so thats a big help

    Tuesday:

    Intro to Speech- 11:10-12:35

    American History 1- 6:00-9:05

(again I tutor for 4 hours here... homework time)

    Wednesday:

    Same as Monday's schedule

    Thursday:

    Speech: 11:10-12:35

    Friday:

    Principles of Accounting 1- 8:00-8:55

    Macroeconomics- 9:05-10:00

Well, thats it. So what do you think about it?? Hard, or easy? And any advice?

    Thanks!

  • Which is the Best Major Between These Two?

Between Radiology and Accounting, which is the best one to major in?? I had went into college for a major in Radiology when I first arrived on campus, but I was only doing that to 'choose one and hush people up'... lol. However, after talking with my folks and doing a little research (not much, but a little) into accounting, I decided it was best for me to change my major to accounting. I am a 2nd semester Freshman in college, so I definately had time to make this change. However, I'm asking you all this question before I make my final, official decision of whether to change majors or not. I like to look at the pay, but I also like looking at:

    1) the easiness of the job

    2) possible advancement opportunities

    3) location from home, eg. having to go miles away from my current home for advancement of my major (which I do not like and do not think of as a possibility, and accounting affords me the convenience of furthering that degree from the comfort of my home as well as a job from home as well)

I made a 100 in my Stats/Prob class as well, if that helps any. I'm also a 3.75 GPA student, and a 4.0 student outside of Composition class in which I made a B in last semester.

Btw, my community college I attend offers both associates in Accounting and Radiography.

Thanks for all the help and advice!

  • Can You Please Help Me with a Hypothesis Testing Problem? Thanks!?

Ok, so I understand the one tail tests of hypothesis testing and the rules/formulas used for both the Z-Score/T-Score methods of solving hypothesis testing problems. But I'm stuck on one of the problems for some reason. Its a two tailed test, I know that for sure, but I do not know how to begin solving this problem. Please help me with the answers then I'll go back through and see how the answers were derived. Thanks!

Problem: A computer repairer claims that the mean repair cost for damaged components is $95. Data on a sample of 29 randomly selected computers showed a mean repair cost of $100 and standard deviation of $22.50. For a=.01, can the repairer's claims be supported?

I know that its a two tailed test and a T-Score method will be used to find the test statistic, but what is the H 0?? What is the H 1?? And would I use both the positive test statistic/Critical values for this problem? I will go back through and work it out once I get the answers, I'm just stuck.

    Thanks!

  • Is Calvin Johnson the Best Fantasy Reciever in the NFL This Year?

With Andre Johnson going down and Matt Stafford staying healthy, is Calvin Johnson the best fantasy reciever in the league this year?? Not just standard, but also PPR scoring as well?? I think he is.

And on a slightly different topic, who is the best reciever in the league, not necessarily just best in fantasy purposes. For example, Welker is an excellent reciever fantasy wise, probably top 5 in PPR formats, but he's not a top 5 reciever outside that in a real setting, eg. actual talent, not just situation/certain trait translating to fantasy gold.

    Opinions??

  • Is My Manager Taking Advantage of Me?

I put in a 2 weeks notice about 3 weeks ago... YES, I said THREE weeks ago. Manager called and asked me if I could work for a store (not the one I was hired at) 8-5 tomorrow since they desperately needed help, and said that I wouldn't have to work for that store ever again, since last week was my official last week. I looked at my schedule for this weekend, and they have me scheduled from 8-5 not just tomorrow... oh no, they also have me scheduled 8-5 Sunday as well. I'm kinda ticked at this, and feel like they're taking advantage of me. I called my manager twice, and told him to call me back, but he would never call me back even after I left a message on his phone. Either way, I'm not going to work Sunday. So what do you think I should do??

  • Should I Do this Trade?

First off, this is a 10 team, 2 pts per catch league. Everything else is standard scoring. I was offered a trade that is listed below:

I get: Brandon Marshall, Peyton Hillis

He gets: Mike Thomas, Daniel Thomas

My recievers before the trade are: Roddy White, Andre Johnson, Wes Welker, Vincent Jackson, Manningham, Thomas, Julio Jones

My runningbacks before trade are: Ray Rice, Matt Forte (PPR league, remember), Blount, Danny Woodhead, Daniel Thomas, Felix Jones

We start 3 recievers/2 runningbacks/1 flex WR/RB/TE. I need an upgrade in my runningbacks, so it would be a good thing for me to do for Hillis. But should I counter the trade with Woodhead instead of Thomas, who has potential to be a workhorse in Miami??

  • What to Do in between College Classes?

Okay, so the big issue is this: I have to go on Mondays (yes, of all days lol) from 8 to 5:30. However, I have multiple 2 hour breaks during that day. Only problem is, I don't know what to do. I will most definitely study and do work when assigned, but what if I have no work/study to complete?? College actually starts on that Monday for me, so I expect a light workload that day, and will be bored out of my mind. I don't live in a dorm, as my house is 30 minutes away, but the house is too far away for me to go to then go back up again.

  • Why Are My Hours Being Cut?

So here's the deal: after working 4 weeks straight of 15-20 hours a week (which when I took the job I was told I'd get 10-15 a week), and getting various compliments not only from the people I check out at the register/help find stuff in the store, but also the people who work with me (including the Assistant Manager who is the hardest to please), I'm getting my hours cut back to 7.5 for this week. I do my job as well as anyone, and I try my hardest to please the customers, which I thought was the most important thing to the company. I told my Manager that I'd have to go to weekend days only when I started college up, and he was kinda surprised, but he said that he'd hire another person to take some of the night hours that I work right now. Is he trying to 'prep' me for that time because I only work Sunday night, or is he mad?? I don't think he's mad because he has asked me if I could come in early/work an extra day (which I refused the extra day part and said that I had stuff to be done on my day off, but he didn't seem mad at that). Maybe he's madder than I thought about me not taking the extra day of work today.... but I don't see why he would be.

I work at Dollar General FYI.

  • Is It Okay for Me to Text this Girl Every Day?

So I really, really like this girl; and signs she gives and my own parents say that she likes me too. Whenever I text her, she always responds back with full responses, and she even brings up new topics to discuss (which is another thing I like about her) between us. The other night, I told her that if I ever got annoying, or she was busy, or she just didn't feel like talking, to let me know, and I would quit the texts. She responded by saying okay, and that she hates the fact that she has ADD because she can't focus on things too much (though she always focuses on what I say). I told her that I could probably talk to her all day and that I loved our convos. When we text each other, the convos go for hours and hours (yesterday went for 5 hours lol!) and we always find something to talk about each time to keep the convos fresh.

So basically, what I'm wondering is, is it okay for me to text the girl every day as long as she responds?? Or should I text her every other day or every 3 days to keep convos fresh?

    Thanks!
