  • Help with wrongful termination?

I was fired today, and was told it was because the company does not have any more money to pay me, as well as taxes, insurance, power bills, etc on the property. Here's the kicker; I have evidence that the managing member of the LLC, who is a CPA, has stolen at least six figures from the company. He admitted it to his partner, and I have seen the bank records and have copies of the check register.

How do I go about filing a suit for unlawful/wrongful termination?

  • What does SCA stand for?: "SCA Engineering Technician"?

I saw a job ad, looks like I would meet the qualifications, except I don't know and can't find what SCA means.

  • Help with my Kodak M2 Instamatic 8mm?

In going through a box of my late father's belongings, I found a Kodak M2 Instamatic 8mm movie camera. On the right side, I can see "KA-II" through the window. On the left, I can see "50" through the window. How can I tell how much film is left, and where can I get this developed to digital format? I'm not sure how to open this camera, and wouldn't want to accidentally expose the good film. I'd just like to see what Dad might have filmed.

    Thanks,

    Andy

  • Should I marry my girlfriend?

We've been together a year, are in our late 20's, and are both very happy... except for one not-so-tiny detail. She wants children and I do not. I love her and want her to have everything her heart desires. Yet if she wants a child, I may not be the man for her. What do I do?

  • Women have sex on the fourth date?

This seems a little more than coincidence: The last three women I've dated have all pounced me on the fourth date. I didn't kiss them, hold their hand, arm around the shoulder, anything on the first three dates. But the fourth was dinner and wine at my place, and it went from the first kiss to hot, rough, animal sex in twenty minutes. Boy, was it good!

I'm in my late twenties and feel like I missed a Cosmo article. Is there some guideline I never heard of? It seems like if I'm withholding physical contact but still showing interest, they're practically bursting at the seams by the fourth date. Two out of three of these ended up to be long-term-ish relationships (i.e. more than a couple months).

  • First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit?

The date window on the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit is after April 9, 2008. Why is this? If I'm filing 2008 taxes, shouldn't a home purchase in 2008 be eligible?

I purchased (built) my home and received certificate of occupancy on January 20, 2008. I think I'm screwed, and this stinks big time.

  • What is the personal liability of elected officials?

    Here's a "hypothetical" situation:

A developer is interested in a property, and applies for permits with the town council to do a project. They approve it, the developer buys the property, and several months later there is a public outcry (a few town citizens don't like the project). The town council, now feeling the pressure of the public, stalls the project, tries to rescind the permits, tries to enforce make-believe parts of the town code, calls dozens of town meetings which cost the developer hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional engineering costs, etc. All in all, they do a lot of underhanded and illegal things. So the developer files a lawsuit.

My question is: what is the personal liability of the council members? If the judge finds that there was malfeasance, the developer wins the lawsuit. The insurance company for the town pays the settlement... but would the council members not also be held personally responsible as well? Are they not liable for actions?

  • Rough sex?

I like to be bitten on the neck during sex... but only on the neck. If I were bitten on the... say... arm, for instance, it would not turn me on. Also, I like having my back scratched... I mean really clawed up. But if she scratched up my chest, I'd just be perplexed. Why is this? Is anyone else in the same/similar boat as me?

  • Paintball guns that use compressed air?

It's been a loooong time since any of us paintballed, so we're all having to get back out looking for gear, which has all changed in the last 10 years. We're all working folk, so we all have HUGE workshop air compressors, portable pancake compressors, or on-board air on our trucks.

Do ALL guns work on compressed air? Are there only some models you'd recommend? It seems a bit inconvenient to drive to the welding shop to have a 20oz tank refilled.

Also, what guns/brands should we stay away from? Everybody has their preference, but usually some can agree on crap brands. I'm in the sub-$200 range.

  • Why is it that the questions below what I'm reading are way off topic?

I'm answering a question in the Hunting Forum. Or the Boating Forum. Why is it that at the bottom of the screen, it says Answer another question, but they're from other forums?

If I see another question about Vaginal Discharge, I'm going to vomit. And if I see another question about "Does he like me? He smiled at me during recess", I'm going to punch myself in the face.

  • Fishing rod repair?

I've recently purchased a pair of used rods, and they are missing several of the ceramics in the line guides. I've replaced rod tips before, but how do I replace a guide in the middle of the rod? Are the ceramic parts necessary?

  • 12ga Double barrel SxS with hammers?

I've found a few good sites to look on, but am finding that there are pretty much no new guns in this form, other than the "coach guns" at 20" length... and I'm looking for full lengths. So used or new, can anyone tell me makes/models for a 12ga SxS, hammers, longer than 20" barrels?

  • Isn't it time our government stepped in to stop the increase in oil prices?

I'm all about small government and government staying out of our lives, but isn't it about time the US government stepped in and said enough is enough? High oil prices are crushing our economy, not to mention my wallet. The US gov't needs to seize control of all American-owned petroleum companies, do all the foreign oil purchasing itself, and set a ceiling on what it will pay per barrel.

Again, I don't like big, interfering governments, or any type of socialism, but 100 dollars per barrel is ridiculous. Need i remind anyone that 8 years ago, street prices for unleaded gasoline were ONE FIFTH of what they were today?

  • Why is my hair moving from my head to my back?

Typical male-pattern baldness. My hair seems to be migrating from the top of my head to my back. I even seem to be working up a Rob-Schneider-in-The-Animal butt-tuft. What the hell? Would it help if I hung from my ankles a few hours every night? Would my hair move back up to my head? Or would it just start growing out of my nose and ears?

  • Help me interpret/stop these recurring dreams...?

More than four years after disenrolling early from a federal military academy, I am still having nightmares.

Each dream is different in setting (new and unfamiliar barracks, etc), but with the same general theme. I've returned/re-enrolled to the academy, and am late, unprepared, and otherwise lost. Usually I am trying to get my uniform straight and ready for formation, but I'm missing something, and if I do find it, I can't find my way to formation. Sometimes there are people I know that are involved in the dream, but some were and some were not actually related to the academy in real life.

Please help me to understand these dreams and stop them.

  • Should I adopt another dog?

The story: Two years ago I adopted a 8mo old german shepherd, and brought her to work with me every day to play with the other employees' dogs. But I've since changed jobs, and although she still comes to work with me every day, she just sits in the office and has no one to play with.

I'm considering adopting another dog for a playmate. However, this likely means that I can't bring them both to work. Although I wouldn't get to spend much time with them, she'd get more exercise.

What's your opinion? Should I get another dog?

  • Tile installation: Does sheetrock have to be removed before backerboard is put up?

I'm building my first house, so this is new construction. The hangers put up sheetrock inside a stand-up shower that is to be tiled completely (floor, walls, ceiling). Does this have to be removed in order to hang the cement backerboard, or can the backerboard be installed over the sheetrock/drywall?

All I've read about backerboard installation only mentions installation over studs, and never mentions anything about existing sheetrock.

  • Spray-stencil painting techniques?

I'm going to try painting a bathroom to resemble a jungle by spraying over some bamboo leaves and palms, using them as stencils. Has anyone tried this? Any recommendations?

A friend of mine used a similar method to paint camouflage on his duck boat. I figured I could make it work for me.
