My son's 4th grade class is taking a trip to Sturbridge Village in Massachusettes. My son will be recovering from surgery on his leg at the time of the trip. I'm wondering if anyone knows how easy it is to get around the place in a wheelchair. The website indicates that they rent out wheelchairs there, but I'm curious if anyone has actually done so. I am rh negative, and so is my husband. I understand that this is a pretty rare situation for BOTH parents to be rh negative. We have three children, and I have always assumed that they, too, were rh negative. Is this necessarily so? Just curious.

In order to enter a graduate program in Connecticut, I need to provide proof of measles immunization, which I received in New York State in the late 1960s. I know the name of the hospital where I was born, but no one alive today knows the name or address of my pediatrician at the time.

Should I just get another shot, rather than trying to track down this information?

Our tortoise, who is about 3 or 4 years old, has become extremely active this Spring, climbing over everything in sight, pacing around the family room far more than usual, and sometimes trying to nip at people's toes. Could he be going through adolescence or something? Also, could he use more food or different food? He eats vegetables and a weekly calcium supplement. Anyone seen this phenomenon before?

I'm just wondering if anyone else out there has known someone this nutty and vindictive.

I have some star wars items and a Dora the Explorer play house, all of which are slightly worn, but still very usable. Goodwill no longer accepts toys (the whole toy recall thing made them change their policy), and I really don't know where to drop these items off anymore. Your ideas would be very welcome!

Does it drive anyone else nuts that people on this site keep saying that perfectly legitimate boys' names are actually girls' names? I've seen people claim this about names like Emerson and Quinn, neither of which was used as a girl's name at all really until the last 10 years. I'm not talking about really girlish sounding names such as Leslie and Kelly, where 99% of the people with the names are boys. I'm talking about names that were usurped as girls' names, and now some people are insisting are not boys' names at all.

Sorry about the rant, but I'm just wondering if this bugs anyone else.

Our fresh cranberry sauce--made from Ocean Spray cranberries--came out with lots and lots of tiny seeds throughout it. This has never happened in many, many years of making this exact same sauce. Any clues as to why this might be?
