The trouble light had been coming on and going off every once in a while but the bike never seemed to miss a beat. Then just today I rode it to do a few errands and then my wife and I took it for a ride to and around a nice park drive. When we left the park onto city streets at a traffic stop the light came on and the RPM's just wouldn't come down. It pulls strong at 2000 RPM so it was no fun getting home. It also ran extremely hot, pinging.

Now I already suspect an issue with the MAP sensor or something called a CKP sensor but I'd like to know from someone experienced with this sort of issue. It's going to the dealer because it's under extended warranty, but I know they are jammed because it's the beginning of the season and I'm going to lose this and possibly next weekend.

I remember hearing that years ago manufactures tried switching to non-metalic containers and it didn't sell and went back to cans. It was said that the public got used to the metalic taste. Is that true?
