Okay, I've been sitting here trying to really delve into his character and create a back story but nothing is coming to me. Nothing!

I'm writing a book and the lead male Adam Cross is a part of an unlisted federal agency that covers up cases that could make the public scared to go out their door if they knew about them.

The plot is about a 16 year old girl (Day Weston) who finds out her father ( who ran away before she was born and has had zero contact with) is the founder of said agency and is very close to dying.

It is Adams job to protect her and get her to her father before time runs out for him and the people who he burned kill Day.

This is where I need help, I want him to be as realistic as possible, not the 'perfect guy' created by women. I need help on his back story and his attitude. The only thing I have so far is that his mother is an artist and his father left when he was 15 (he is now 18) and he has a watercolor galaxy tattoo on his left shoulder and bicep.

I want him to be soft of a nerd, but a lovable strong one, but not like Tobias. he also has glasses and black hair.

I had blond highlights put into my red hair, and I've heard that they can turn green when exposed to chlorinated pool water, but I love to swim and needless to say I don't want my hair to turn green,
