I am a mommy of a wonderful September 08 baby. It took us 2 years of TTC to make him and it was worth every second! I run a day care out of my home and have been working with children off and on since I was 12. I also have been a pagan for 13 years. My college was spent with a dual major in Anthropology and Education. I love to answer questions about TTC, infants and children, mythology and paganism.

  • What do you suggest for Sturdy Baby Gates?

I have a 6'4" 300lb husband that is very clumsy and tends to break things. Any recommendations for a very sturdy baby gate? My son started crawling this morning and we still do not have a gate!

    thanks in advance!

  • What image do you mostly tend to give "Mother Earth" in your mind?

I figured I would join Terry on the quest to see some good questions here!

So.. do you tend to give her a particular standard iconic figure such as venus of wilendorf? the pregnant woman with the earth belly? the beautiful face in the mountain? When you hear the term what image comes to your mind first?

  • Organic Sugar vs. Splenda?

Which is healthier over time? Organic Sugar with less chemicals but more calories that could lead to extra pounds? Or Splenda that has less calories but many more chemicals that could lead towards other health problems down the road. If both are used in moderation what really is better?

  • Appropriate Attire for Easter for my 7 month old son?

I am not Christian and have not celebrated Easter for several decades. When I was young suits and fancy dresses were what we wore for Easter. Is that still what is expected? Will it be rude for me to bring my son in Jeans?

  • What did you experience TTC#2?

My husband and I had fertiity issues TTC#1. It took us 2 years. Part of the issue was that my hubby had a low count, which was fixed with meds and a few changes to diet. I am really worried that we will have a harder time TTC#2. We would like our kids around 2 years apart so we haven't started yet. I would like to start sooner since we had issues with #1. For those of you who are TTC#2.. did you have a hard time with #1? was it harder or easier for #2? Please share your experiences! Thanks!

  • Baby Poo after constipation?

My 6 month old son was constipated earlier this week. I gave him watered down apple juice to help things get moving. Well ever since (about 2 days) he has been pooing up a storm. Yesturday my husband and I counted 5-6 poopie diapers between us.. Yowza.. that is allot of poo! He has gone about 3 times today. He is normally a 1-2 poo's a day kid. Has anyone else had a kid get this backed up? What is normal after the disposal unit gets unclogged?

  • What is the best way to advertise daycare?

I have been running a state liscensed day care now for several months out of my home and will be moving closer to family an hour away in June. I will need to get new clients. Parents, how do you typically find your provider? Providers what networks do you get the most or best responses out of?
