I have been reading some reviews of a book I have been thinking for reading and about half of them are marked as "starred reviews", what exactly does that mean? Does it mean they used a star system in order to rate the book (as in 1-5 stars not like Leo or Aquarius)? Does it mean they thought the book was extra good? That the reviewer was a star? What does it mean?

I started writing a short piece that I really liked and I thought maybe to turn it into something longer. The one problem is that I really like my characters to be sort of sarcastic, funny, and witty. I don't want all my characters to be that way, but a couple would be great. Only, every time I start to write some select that way all these funny characters end up with the exact personality so that none of them have their own voice.

How do I keep a couple of characters witty while keeping them separate people?

If a car has to go S kilometers and is going at x kilometers per hour and every hour gas costs x^2(1/8) and another 200 is wasted on expenses, what should the car's speed be so that it wastes the least money.

This is all the question gives me, I checked the answers and it is a number with no variables because of this I have a feeling I'm over thinking this, please show me the steps to solve this, not just the answer.

My little brother is obsessed with the Percy Jackson series, and he pointed out to me something odd about the books. Percy Jackson celebrates Christmas, now since believing in the Greek Gods is basically a religion and in the books Percy knows their existence to be true why would he still be celebrating a Christian holiday when he knows that Christianity is a false religion? I always thought reading a good comic book would be a cool experience and I always really wanted to just start reading them especially x-men or some other marvel comic, but I really hate starting a series from the middle and I know x-men started a really long time ago and so did many other good comics.

Anyway, can I have a recommendation on what comics to start an where to start from if the comic had been around for a while?

In sims 3, if I had one family member move out is it possible for me to control the one who moved out? I made the other members the active ones, but I still want to control the one who moved out, is that possible? Please tell me it is! I invested a lot into the member that moved out...
