  • Chlorine vs. Bromine in Pool?

I live in Florida where the temperature in my pool stays near 85 all summer. Chlorine is unstable. I've been reading about Bromine in spa's. Since the pool is about the same as a spa .. will the price and benefits compare to chlorine. Thanks

  • Is ther another alternative to having tonsils removed? I thought I read that they don't usually remove anymore

My 13 year old daughter is having her tonsils removed tomorrow. Someone told me that Dr.s don't usually do this any more. Has anyone heard of alternatives to this proceedure.

And, as a second question, what is the best way to ease her suffering afterwards. (she has dairy allergies, so ice cream is out---so sherbet is in, I guess)

  • I have a lesion & hole in/around my rt. Basil Ganglia. And sick every morning.?

I was diagnosed with Parkinsonism, believed caused by welding (manganese poisoning), with a lacunar infarct and pervascular space. Every morning I'm vomiting, and have a very hard time talking, forming words phisically in my mouth.

Could this be caused by a portion of my 'grey matter' filling the void as I sleep?

After an hour I'm okay and my meds return me to normal.

The less I sleep, the better I feel upon awakening.

Not the meds, I've tried every possible time, and combination, before bed and even in the middle of the night. I avg. 4-5 hrs. per night.

Thanks in advance to all you high I.Q. people out there.

  • How do you live with Parkinson's ?

I.m 50 and found out I have P.D. and have 10"good" years ahead of me. I don't want to be a vegetable. I'm planning on ending my life when I get really pathetic. I just don't want to hurt my family, how can I make them understand?
