How much can a landlord charge over mortgage for rent?
Our landlord charged us $1,460 / month for rent of a 3 bedroom house. Eventually, this put us into about $5,000 in back rent, and well over 20k in late bills, and has ruined our credit. The previous tennents paid only $1200 / month, and now they house is on the market for $975/month. This doesn't seem right to me. Isn't there a law to protect tennents from paying huge rents over the mortgage value of the house?

What do y'all think?
Allow others to 'comment' on anothers answer to a question. This way the forum for the main question can be opened up a bit more. I know we are able to 'edit' our own answers all we want, but we are only allowed to 'comment' on the main 'question' or 'answer' selected.
Seems a bit limiting to me, what do y'all think?
6 AnswersYahoo Answers2 decades agoStats Bar, What do you Think?
Anyone else think that this bar is too subjectivie? I mean, just because you don't answer all of the questions you answer as the 'best' answer, you are thrown into the 'Other' category. Seems a bit inane to me. Also, it does have the effect of making the 'poster's' reputation 'less' than it should be. I mean, think of the level of questions asked on this site: from those that are really serious, to those that are just stupid as hell. And, aside from that look at the level of the answers, from important answers to stupid joke answers.
And, since this bar doesn't take into account that the asker may have chosen a 'joke' or 'stupid' answer as the best, it lumps everyone else into the 'other' category. Doesn't seem too accurate to me.
Perhaps another solution could be to show the rated 'Best Answer' stats. Ie how many were best answers, and how many were rated up and down. Better to work with than that 'Other' category.

2 AnswersYahoo Answers2 decades agoSerious vs Joke Questions on Y! Answers. What do you think?
I find it quite disturbing that people who ask serious questions recieve bogus answers. That people who ask health related questions recieve christian bias answers.
That those who have a valid question to actually ask recieve joke responces.
One case, for example, is when someone asked about a brain surgery. I posted back with tons of information for him to consider asking his doctor, and assessing himself. And, while i won the best answer, some of the other answers were so disturbing.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you do not know about a subject, do not post about it. Especially if it is something similar to medical advice, or herbology, or anything that can affect someone's health.
And as to actual joke questions, can you all at least qualify within your questions that you don't actually want a serious answer? This is quite frustrating to want to answer questions, and the asker not want a real answer.
Do the rest of you aggree with this? I find it quite frustrating.
