  • Blond-haired, blue-eyed Mayan painting?

I was speaking to a friend and he mentioned some sort of ancient American Indian (possible Mayan/Incan) painting of a blond-haired, blue-eyed man years before contact with Europeans. I said that it could have been of an albino but he dismissed this.

Does anyone know more about this? I'm starting to think this might have been a hoax. I Googled around but I couldn't find anything.

  • Does the Wisconsin lemon law apply my my case?

I bought a car about a week ago from a dealer. I was told that the car came with some minor defects such as leaks, etc. One problem I was told about was that the ABS light would come on but I was told that there was no ABS problem and that it was only a defect with the gauge. The buyers guide on the window listed no problem with the ABS. I had the car checked out by another mechanic and I was told that the ABS did not work at all and it would cost a lot of money to fix. The dealer told me he would fix it at a 20% discount.

So, what should I do? Is there a lemon law in this case?

And if the lemon law doesn't apply in this case would it be cheaper to get it fixed at the dealer or at another mechanic?

  • Why do I get this message from AVG E-mail Scanner?

    http://i9.tinypic.com/30lmk5k.png

I get this message from AVG free virus scanner at seemingly random times in Windows XP. This message pops up at the lower right corner of my screen. I just get the feeling that someone is using my computer for spam or something like that. Is that what this is? If so, how do I get rid of it?

  • Why won't my monitor stay in power saving mode?

I'm using Windows XP SP2 and I have a SiS 760 graphics chip. I have my monitor set to turn off after 1 minute. However, whenever it turns off it immediately turns back on. Sometimes I can get it to stay off if I toggle the settings under Power Options Properties but that doesn't always work. What could be causing this and how do I get my monitor to stay off?

  • Who has the cheapest domain names?

My domain name is set to expire in a few months and I am seeing if I can transfer it to someone cheaper. I don't need any special features and anyone who offers low prices for multi-year registrations would be nice.

  • Explorer.exe unable to locate component.?

I'm getting this error message after I log in to Windows XP SP2:

    Explorer.exe unable to locate component.

This application has failed to start because Normaliz.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I got this error message after I tried to install IE7 and restarted the computer. I can log in to Windows, but I get nothing except my background and a cursor. I can start Firefox if I ctrl+alt+delete and select "New Task."

I tried running Windows setup, but I don't get the option to repair my installation. I just see my hard drive listed.

I have AVG free installed and checking for viruses every night and I recently checked for spyware, so I don't think either of those could be the problem.

  • How can I negotiate for lower rent for my apartment?

  • Why do all the pictures on my digital camera look distorted with my new CF card.?

I just bought a new CF card for my Canon PowerShot A80 and all the pictures that I take with the new card come out distorted. All the pictures look fine when I use the original card that came with the camera. The pictures also look fine as thumbnails when I browse the folder that they are stored in. But when I open them, they are all messed up. I've tried reformatting the card on both the camera and from within Windows using a CF card reader. Is their any way to fix this and can I recover any of the distorted images that I have already taken?
