i have a 9 yr old pygmy goat. she seems to have no energy, but eats and drinks. she is coughing and i think she had a seizure yesterday. my vet said that they can't treat for seizures and to give her a vitamin b complex shot( which i did) and she seems a little more active today. my concern is that she might be on her way to the big pasture in the sky:( is her age a factor in this or not?

what is the difference in calories between store eggs and the fresh eggs i get every day from my chickens? i do not give them steroids or growth hormones like the big egg producers do, just bread, grain and egg layer pelletts

i want to try using seeds from this years crops to plant next year. how do i go about doing this? i'm not trying to save money(seeds are cheap) just want to try for the fun of it. i want to try with corn,cukes,zukes and pole and bush beans. are there differant ways with each seed type or is the process the same on any seed?

i need to thin my iris's and am going to send the bulbs to my sister. what is the best way to do this? i have regular iris that grow 18-24 inches high and bearded iris that grow 36 inches high.they have been in the ground for about 4 yrs and are doing great with lots of blooms. i don't want to do any damage to the bulbs that i cut out or the ones that are growing. how can i do this with minimal damage to either?

i have 4 americuna (easter) chickens that lay eggs most of the year. i get 1-4 eggs a day from spring thru fall. is there a breed of chicken that will lay year round? they are kept outside with my horses and goats and are free roaming. my neighbor wants to get some chickens next spring but wants them to lay all year. is this possible with free roaming chickens?
