How many of you will not be celebrating Christmas?
2 AnswersChristmas1 decade agoWhat can ya do with a baby with colic? The nighttime is SO terrible with him.?
I'm either gonna lose my mind or give 'em up for adoption! Ok.. kidding about the adoption part.. but... my baby is a month old and stays awake almost all night crying and screaming. The doctor said there is nothing we can do, but let him outgrow it. That could be anywhere from a day to several months. I need some sleep, but I'd rather my child not be in pain from the colic.
Any ideas of what we can do, or feed him, or... whatever.. to help comfort him, at least?
We also have a two year old, so it makes sleeping in shifts during the day just about impossible for us. Really this question is what can we do for the baby, rather than how can we get more sleep, cuz that's what I care about the most.

5 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhat type of guitar is your favorite to play, and why?
My favorite guitar has always been the Fender Strat. Nice warm tones.. thin neck.. small fret bars. It is just an easy guitar to play. It feels right! :)
6 AnswersOther - Entertainment1 decade agoDo the English visit countries like Germany and Italy as frequently, as say, an American visits other states?
Is it just a common thing that they don't even think about? I know for Americans, visiting other states is just part of what we do sometimes for business, etc. It's nice and exciting to go see another state, but we're all still just americans. It isn't like traveling to another country where the people speak different languages, etc.
2 AnswersOther - Europe1 decade agoDo the people of England hate Americans?
I've seen many questions or answers about how the British hate American tourists, etc. Do we really visit the country THAT much? Obviously we are spending our money there.. they should be grateful! ....and... not all of us Americans are bad, ugly people!!
or.... is this just all a rumor??

5 AnswersYahoo Groups1 decade agoWhat good smell makes you stop what you are doing to take a few sniffs of the air?
While walking by a bakery I have to stop and sniff! Sometimes a good smelling man walking by me will totally catch me off guard and I'll literally stop in my tracks!
OOooo and a good NY pizza parlor will melt me every time. :)
4 AnswersOther - Social Science1 decade agoHave you already put up Christmas lights on your house? Is it too early to do so?
I think it's WAY too early.. but I guess you should do it while it's still warm, ey?
12 AnswersChristmas1 decade agoFor some reason, newly recorded songs for Christmas really bother me, and I don't consider them Christmas songs
For example... "Last Christmas" by Wham! I really like that song, but I can't consider it a Christmas song, for some reason. Maybe it's not a Christmas Carol... I dunno. All those "new" songs really bother me. Am I the only one? I'd prefer just to hear all the old traditional ones!

My brother's fiance is from the Philippines, and I have just met her. What types of things could I do for her for Christmas to make her feel like she is part of our family, now, and to show her we have embraced her?

4 AnswersOther - Sports1 decade agoWhen you travel, what foods do you miss, and what foods do you look forward to eating?
I miss a lot of food from NY- bagels, knishes, pizza.... but when I leave Missouri(where I currently live)- sometimes I miss some of the country cooking like sweet potato fries, or country fried chicken.
5 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoWhat did a family member make for dinner that nobody else has ever been able to recreate?
I have a few favorite things that my Mom made for dinner that no matter how hard I try, I can't make it taste the same way it did when she made it! Grrrr! Makes me mad! A few of them are simple things... like mac and cheese with real shredded cheddar... or sweet and sour chicken... or goulash.... Those were my 3 favorites... and unless she cooks them... I can never have them, again!!!
