I tried this code but it doesnt seem to work.

I'm importing data that only has yyyy/mm and I need to show this in the database.

If you have tables that will be updated daily, but you still need to keep the old data without replacing it, how would you design the database? Would you have a field for each date? Example if I wanted to update the high temperature for the weather each day but did not want to delete the previous days high temperature.
