Summer Human Anatomy & Physiology Courses?
I recently got accepted into a college of pharmacy but, their pre-requisites requires me to complete both human anatomy & physiology I and II (with labs) before August 2nd of this year (the date by which my coursework has to be done).
Thus, I will need to do both of these lectures during the summer. However, since A&P I is required to take II, it seems that I'm unable to take both simultaneously. Thus, it may not be possible for me to finish these pre-requisite courses before August 2nd if I take those two classes separately.
I would like to know if anyone can help me find a college in Texas that offers A&P I in the summer "MINI" semester term, so that I could take A&P II afterwards and hopefully finish before August 2nd (I've looked at U of H, Lone Star, and HCC but none offer A&P I in the summer mini session).
Thanks a lot.

If a balloon, with its rubber weighing 2g, has 4g of butane/C4H10 added into it, how much does the balloon weigh after adding the butane?
**The answer is NOT 6g, according to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgGghuA2r%E2%80%A6
and tell me how/why you got the answer.
1 AnswerChemistry8 years agoPharmacy School Admission, What do you Think?
I want to know what you think about my chances of getting accepted into a Pharmacy School that's accredited.
I got an 85% composite on my PCAT (99 in Biology!!) and a 4 on my writing.
I have a 3.933 math/science GPA and about a 3.73 overall GPA.
I have volunteered with a Pharmacist where I did research on two drugs.
I tutor Chemistry II at my University, and I'm a part of a pre-pharmacy club and I'm in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
I've received one scholarship and I'm in the Dean's list.
I've volunteered as a front desk man at a hospital for 112 hours.
I have two letter of recommendations from two science professors and one letter of recommendation from a Pharmacist.
And I think I wrote a pretty solid personal statement.
**I'm applying to the University of Texas at Austin, University of Houston, Texas A&M Rangel, Texas Tech, and University of Incarnate World College of Pharmacy.
What do you think about my chances?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)9 years agoMolecular Structure Help Please?
I understand that all the different individual atomic orbitals (electron probability regions) are derived from the magnetic quantum number, which are classified into shape by the angular momentum quantum number, where both can be in any energy level defined by the principal quantum number. Adding all of these atomic orbitals gives the overall atomic shape, and a combination of these three quantum number will address a specific electron probability density out of the rest.
What I don't understand is the difference between hybrid orbitals, Valence Bond theory, molecular orbitals, and Molecular orbital theory (and do both theories incorporate VESPR?). Can someone please assist me in organizing?
1 AnswerChemistry9 years agoChemistry Electron Configuration Easy Question Help Please?
Which cation below would have the following electron configuration?
1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s1
A. Sc+2
B. Ca+2
C. S2-
D. K+
E. K
The correct answer is "A," but I don't understand why. Sc (ground state) has a electron configuration of (condensed) [Ar]4s2 3d1.....thus.... Sc+2 will be [Ar]3d1 + 2e- (because the two electrons will be taken out from the "4s" energy level before the "3d" levels, or am I wrong?). Thus, according to my view, this still isn't the ion with the demanded electron configuration from the question.
3 AnswersChemistry10 years agoCalculus Question Help please?
What would be the limit if
lim x-->0 (4x) / tan(5x)
I was thinking it was DNE because I got lim x-->0 4xcos(5x) / sin(5x)
Thus sin of zero is 0. I would like to no my mistake on this please.
1 AnswerMathematics10 years agoSimple but Confusing Calculus Question?
What would be the limit of:
lim | x - 3 |
x->3 ------------
( x - 3 )
( absolute value of x-3 divided by x-3) as x approaches 3.
I'm thinking it's DNE but could it be positive one? Someone please explain.

6 AnswersOther - Internet10 years agoGoogle Chrome Internet Browser?
WOW! I just now switched from Internet Explorer 8 to Google Chrome 13, and I definitely see a difference. I love chrome because it's MUUUCH faster, and while i'm typing this what I'm writing here, it shows what's i'm spelling wrong by underlining it in red. I can also organize my favorites in folders and it feels really fast. I was wondering if there was even a faster internet browser than chrome.

Perform the indicated operation and reduce completely
3 / (x^2 - x - 20) + x / (x^2 - 8x + 15) - x / (x^2 + x - 12)
I was trying to simplify using common denominator but it just got so complicated. Can anyone help?

1 AnswerCurrent Events10 years agoPTCE and Pharmacy Technician Review Help Please?
I've been studying for the PTCB exam to become a pharm tech but i'm not sure what I'm studying is too outdated or not. I'm studying with the "Pharmacy Practice for Technicians" by Don A. Ballington made in 1999 with and two review books that accompany it. So it's about 12 years old. There's eleven chapters and i've done already 7 in four days. I went towards the end of the book and saw what the layout back in 1999 was for the PTCE and it's, 1) Assisting pharmacist 50% 2) Medication Distribution and InventoryControl as 35% 3) and Operations at 15%
I know now the helping of the pharmacist portion of the PTCB exam is 66% then math is 22% and 12% operation. Should I stop and find a more updated book with it's accompanying review book? Or should I just go ahead and finish the last four chapters and take some practice PTCB exams? I would like any other logical suggestions please.
I live in Houston, Texas by the way

Well, I'm assuming the majority of the populace has received their AP scores. It turned out I received a "4" on mine, so I was wondering how did the rest of you all perform on the Chemistry AP exam. XD

1 AnswerStandards & Testing10 years agoAnybody know good movies like.....?
Some of the movies that I enjoy are ones like: Limitless, Source Code, District 9, Inception, The Fourth Kind, Deja Vu. I usually like the great stories involved with some form of mystery. I find some of them very inspirational. Anyways, I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions to follow up on my list of movies that I enjoy. Thanks a lot.
7 AnswersMovies10 years agoWhat is the meaning of the movie "The Fountain"?
I found this movie very intriguing and utmost interesting. I would just like to ask other people's opinions on what the meaning of the movie is. My opinion suggests that, the movie is portraying the human being ignorant of death to the full self awareness of it. I believe, it shows the evolution of man to his final enlightened self (which could possibly occur to ourselves). But that's just my guess.
1 AnswerMovies10 years agoPharmacy Technician HELP?!?!?!?
Well I just graduated highschool and i'm trying to pursue pharmacy. I've already gotten accepted to the University of Houston and have just completed my pre-pharmacy schedule for the fall. In the orientation that i've attended, the advisors said that I will need a "letter of reccomendation" from a pharmacist. I was thinking about studying to become a pharmacy technician to get that "letter". I have a few books on pharmacy technician but I would like to know the updated process in becoming one. Can anyone tell me the correct process and what I should do ( like study tips and links to websites) to facilitate my learning in an efficient manner?

1 AnswerMedicine10 years agoI thought THIS WAS IMPOSSIBLE but how?
Ok,
this guy simplified what I thought couldn't be simplified. The question was, "Can (4+x)/(4-x) be simplified any further?" And to me, the obvious answer was no. However, I come across this guy who DOES simplify it by some process not known to me. I've taken Calculus AB AP this year but none of that seems to apply. Anyways, here's his process that I've managed to copy down:
(4 + x)/(4 - x) = (4 - x + 2x)/(4 - x) = 1 + 2x/(4 - x)
= 1 - 2x/(x - 4)
= 1 - [(2x - 8 + 8)/(x - 4)]
= 1 - [2 + 8/(x - 4)
= -1 - [8/(x - 4)]
Now, I understand how he manipulated the (4+x) to (4 - x + 2x) but, other than that, I cant figure out what his process is. The interesting part is that, his final answe IS a simplified version of (4+x)/(4-x) because if you plug in any number, for example, "1", you get the same answer of "5/3". And that is AMAZING TO me. I dont understand how he came about his final form of simplification. I was always taught that you couldn't simplify it any more than what the question was asked. SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN XD!
