  • How do I set Yahoo Messenger to display Yahoo IDs instead of Real Names?

There used to be an option to switch between displaying Real Names, and displaying Yahoo IDs. I can no longer find the option in version 8.1 and 9.0 beta. I remember it was always difficult to find... Did they just remove the feature?

  • Maximum Analog Resolution?

I am looking at purchasing a new monitor for my computer. I am looking at buying a CRT monitor which only has VGA and BNC connectors. It has a maximum resolution of 2048x1536.

My computer has an nVidia 7900GS. Its maximum resolution is reported as 2560x1600, which is larger. However, since I will be using a DVI->VGA converter, I want to be sure that that the video card will be able to put that resolution out over a single analog connection, and not require dual-link DVI.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • MPEG-2 Video Editing?

My camcorder only records video in MPEG-2 format. I am looking for basic video editing (cutting/splicing, and color correction) that supports MPEG-2 as input.

I do not mind if I cannot export the video in MPEG-2 format (infact, I would like to export in XViD or H.264 if possible). I just do not want to have to transcode the stream before I can edit it, as that would cause an unnecessary loss of quality.

The camera did not come with any video editing software. I have tried using Adobe Premiere, but it does not appear to support MPEG-2 inputs. I have a hardware MPEG-2 decoder in the system, and am running Vista x64.

    Any help would be appreciated!
