I know the Fungal Tome is in level 9 but where? Skeleton King Quest (Leoric) did not trigger for me and i covered all of level 3 and nothing. Same with Tavern Sign. Why did this happen? I thought you cannot go to level 5 without doing these and here I am ready to start level 11.

When encoding video an video editing will a dual core @ 3.2Ghz out perform a quadcore @ 2.5Ghz or 2.4Ghz?

Im going to buy a CPU that i want to able to do video editing and coding as fast as possible. I do plan to overclock. But I am concerned that the software I will use will not take advantage of all 4 cores. I know it will use both in the Athlon but what about the Phenom? (It probably does matter on what software but in general has software adapted to use all 4?)

My friend is looking to buy a new laptop for college and I showed them this one.....(fits their needs)

It looks good as far as hardware goes.....and I plan to remove all the crapware from it and possible overclock before I give it to them cuz they wouldnt know how to do it themself. The only thing im concerned about is the Windows Vista.....has Microsoft perfected it so it runs like XP Pro SP3? or even XP Home? If it doesnt ill reformat the hard drive and put XP Pro on it......that bring me to my next point......HOW THE HELL DO I DO THAT? I assume u stick the disk in the CD drive and a box pops up and asks what u wanna do but i wanna hear it from someone who has done it before.......oh and after a few restarts more than likely u reinstall all the drivers (that ASUS better include in the laptop) and thats it. (oh a few more restarts lol) Right? Oh and for the video card it has.....(3650 Mobile) any new drivers/versions of catalyst?

Looking to buy a laptop that can game. Not sure which video card to get. I have gotten it down to a few but I am concerned that if I wait until ealy 2009 something better will come. So heres the list of video cards (oh and the CPU's and stuff are pretty much the same Core 2 Duo 2.4 to 2.6Ghz 45nm and 3 or 4GB or RAM)

2. 8600GT's in SLI (512MB each so 1GB total)

I think either the SLI setup or the 9700GT are the best. Price isnt a factor. Im just concerned that if I buy one say today next week quadcore laptops will be out at these same clock speeds or higher and idk about this whole Hybrid SLI and Hybrid Crossfire think (sounds stupid) and dont get me started on Vista. But i digress....which card will the game the best?

I personally think the AMD/ATI one is better gaming per $. But for EXTREME performance Inetl/Nvidia is the way to go. Just looking for opinions

Im looking to build a desktop that can do pretty intense gaming (Call of Duty series specifically) and can do intense AutoCAD rendering. I was planning on using a motherboard with 3 PCI Express x16 (2.0) slots and putting in them either a 4870 or 4850 and a FireGL V5600. In the event that Call of Duty runs slow i might Crossfire the 4 series cards. However I am concerned that having 2 different series of cars will cause either Windows or BIOS to yell at me and not function. Has anyone ever done something like this and it worked? If so are you able to switch between card configurations? For example im typing in Microsoft Word so I only use a single 4 series card to do graphics but I close Word and open CAD and can switch to the FireGL or run Call of Duty 4 and switch to Crossfire (or the 4 series card) only through Windows or Windows and BIOS. (Planning on using XP Professional)

What would happen if heat (hot enough for combustion) was introduced into an enviroment only containing oxygen? I dont think anything would happen, and i really doubt ozone can be made like that. (otherwise someone would have fixed the ozone layer by now)

My IDE Drive that came with my computer (Dell Dimension 2400) will not open and there is a disc stuck in there. I think i can get the drive open without doing it the old fashioned way (opening the case, taking out the drive and forcing it open). I tried both the button and through my computer. I was too tired to open it last night so i just turned off the computer. However when the computer was turning off I recieved a blue screen instead that said something (didnt care to read it). I know i usually get this screen when this same drive fails to open and i turn off the computer. Any ideas how to get it open? (btw the previous times this has happened i could turn off the machine and turn it back on and it would work fine. now that doesnt work)

So theres this girl that I see on and off at school. Shes not the hottest thing ever born but shes amazingly cute. I talker again on and off. Maybe 3 or 4 times a week. When I do see her I usually stop and talk to her and right when I first see her my heart gets all flutter-ish like its grown wings and wants to fly out of my chest and my breath gets short for a sec then it comes back. I think i like her but she seems shy (nothing against shy ppl) although she smiles alot when we do talk. We mostly talk about school stuff, she hates one of her classes (a class I already did) and I made up some silly story comparing it to real-life and that its nothing hard and told her to just memorize it. When she got an A on her test I put my arm around her and embraced her. I've wanted to ask her out but im scared of what she'll say and as of late ive been doubting my feelings for her. When i turn on my computer before windows starts I see only two options F2 which bring me to setup and F12 which brings me to the boot menu. I tried pressing delete and Ctrl + F1 and nothing happened. Im pretty sure that setup and boot menu are not BIOS. So how do I get to BIOS?

I bought a GeForce FX 5200 for my computer and it said that it needed a 250W power supply. My computer only has a 135W power supply but i risked it and put it in anyways. It works with all the features. Now im confused. Will my power supply eventually break because of the video card? If so will i need to replace more than just the power supply?

i heard i could overclock my computer through windows. is this true? if so how do i do it? if not how do i overclock my pc and what are the pros/cons of overclocking?
