8 AnswersCycling1 decade agoFlinstones vs Jetsons?
"Well until the Flintstones can learn to stop crashing the Jetsons airplanes into buildings..........Peace through superior Firepower."
I saw this answer to a question on the site and wanted to ask two questions. The first is whether or not terrorists are primitive, or like troglidytes? If they use technology to their advantage (and we fear this) does this not make them the Jetsons? And if they are primitive does this not prove the idea that "primitive" people are not capable of pursuing, posessing, and using WMD's? My second question is being primitive bad? Yes, I admit that being on the cutting edge of technology is great, but can the use of contemporary technology at times be primitive in itself? And at times can being primitive be of great value. Does being primitive mean that one is any dumber, or does it mean that one lacks the speed and access to discuss the same information? Ok more than two questions.

Do you think that people who answer a question under a certain topic (for the lack of a better term) with more legitimacy like politics, current events, computers etc and then spend the majority of time asking about britney spears or other more "superficial" topics are qaulified to answer such questions generally?
3 AnswersEtiquette2 decades agoAyman al-Zawahri?
According to officials Bin Laden's #2 was invited to dinner at the Pakistani border that was blown up recently. He did not show up, but some of his aides did. I have two questions. Ignoring the UN charter (that states you can only attack a nation with UN approval or in direct self defense)do you think it is ethical for us to attack what we please without asking or at bare minimum consulting such country? My second question is there a difference between an attack and an invasion? If the US made the effort to bomb the village could we have crossed the 4 miles into Pakistan with troops to attempt to capture him or his aides possibly avoiding civlian casualties and the possibility of gaining terrorist plans?

For you Steeler fans do you think that Ron Dayne would be a perfect fit for the Steelers as they would teach him and allow him to run up the middle which would in turn make him more successful and fit into the Steelers gameplan.

Does anybody think that it is sad commentary that the majority (almost every show) of reality tv is scripted obviously and that we still take it as real?

Do any Steeler fans out there think that Ron Dayne will be a perfect replacement for the BUS? As he is used incorrectly for the NFL for a back to run sweeps and options his size?

Some people think that the moon landing was a conspiracy. However, the motivations, attitudes and charecters of the astronaughts leaves me to think that there is no way they would fake it. What do you think?
4 AnswersAstronomy & Space2 decades agoBelated Holidays or Christmas.?
Does anybody seriously get offended by happy holidays or merry christmas? Both my parents are pastors and could care less about the semantics of somone wishing you well. Ironic really, people trying to be nice and we fight over the right way to say it. It is funny that people say christians are under attack when some of them started the whole attack on a phrase that has been around for quite a while.

Can someone explain the controversy of the Divinci Code to me? I think it's a great fiction mystery nothing more nothing less. If I took every thing in that book literally I would be standing in the Lourve right now digging for the holy grail.
3 AnswersBooks & Authors2 decades agoAids as a weapon?
A Japanese scientist who worked for a notorious unit during WWII said the Aids virus resembles something that the Japanese were developing to use as a weapon. Disiese is a major problem in warfare and militaries are very concerned about them. Do you think that it is possible that the government(s) created aids to use as warfare as it is undectable as a weapon and from whom? Especially with the history of war as this century in including civilians.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics2 decades agoSteelers-Colts?
During the season game between the Colts and Steelers the Steelers were beat 26-7. Big Ben injured his thumb early in the game, but played it out. The Steelers held the Colts to two touchdowns and 4 field goals (one at the end of the game), and they missed one. The Steelers did not get on their game plan of running the ball 35 times (in which they are something on the order of 100-2 if doing so) running the ball only 20 sometimes. Given injuries and a lack of a game plan do you think the Steelers could beat the Colts and if so does this mean the steelers will go to the Superbowl?

2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture2 decades agoWhich America?
If you had to choose between an America that abides by the Constitution consistently or an America that disregards privacy, international laws, human rights, practices torture which would you choose. If it is the latter would that not be America any more? Should we decide to stop faking it and just become a brute force?
