Can someone recommend a brand of lightscribe capable cd-r's?
Or tell which ones to avoid if you've had any problems with them. Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoHas anyone seen a commercial for grass that grows almost anywhere?
It was on one of those infomericals - it was 19.95 - covers 50 sq.ft. and it showed it growing on concrete (grass seed). Name of the product or link would be great! Thanks!
11 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHas anyone seen "An Inconvenient Truth"? I recommend it.?
If you have seen it, are you taking action? and what are you doing to help with the climate crisis?
They have two websites listed on the movie. Carbusters.org and climatecrisis.net for more information.
4 AnswersEnvironment1 decade agoFans of the Late, Great Comedian: Mitch Hedberg. Will you please help get his last film released on dvd?
I just found out a few days ago that Mitch passed away and I am so devastated. I've never been a celebrity crazy kind of person but he was the kind of guy that you fell in like/love with instantly because of his personality and humor. He had a unique style that will never be replaced. I found this while surfing the internet reading blogs about posting comments- http://www.petitiononline.com/hedberg/ It's a petition to get his last film "los enchiladas" released onto dvd. They want 1000 signatures and only have 288. If you're a fan you probably want to help so we can enjoy every little bit of Mitch we have left. Thanks. Rest in Peace Mitch.
6 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoMy USB ports stopped working on my gateway laptop. Any ideas on how to check the settings or troubleshoot?
Neither one work or recognize when you plug something into it. I've tried different items to plug in and don't know what happened. It was working fine before.
3 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoShipping Frozen Seafood Overnight. Is it possible using FedEx or Priority Mail?
I'm not talking about shipping in a refrigerated truck or container. Just frozen solid or frozen into a block of ice and then shipped overnight/express on a standard shipping truck. Can it be done and the seafood stay fresh? and do they even allow it? For sake of argument let's just say it could be shipped anywhere in the continental U.S. (this will settle a small argument I had with the bf yesterday) :)
9 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoWhen you are punishing a child, do you let them ramble on in their defense or tell them to shut it?
My 8 yr. old step son has a bad habit of mouthing off and talking back when I am pointing out something he has done wrong and telling him of his punishment. It's always someone else's fault and he starts yelling and getting all worked up. I want him to shut it and nip it in the bud before he starts carrying on but I can't get his dad to even notice the behavior half the time or even get on the same page as me. What do I do? and am I wrong for not letting him tell his side? (btw this is usually always something I have seen with my own eyes not when he is defending himself against someone tattling or otherwise).
22 AnswersParenting1 decade agoWhat do you do if your neighbor's 11 yr. old son pointed a weapon at your 8 yr. old son?
It was a real bow and arrow. He has also hit him in the head with rocks and always cussing at him (He has to pass his house on the way to other friends houses and has been told to ignore him and say nothing and if he does anything to come home and tell us). The mother is in total denial of any problem with her son. Other neighbors have had to call Sheriff on him but he's still a nuisance to others. Mother has also called Sheriff to other neighbor claiming "false" harrassment. He has pushed down and cussed out a 5 yr. old girl and another 8 yr. old girl that lives near him (cussed her out). I've already had to talk to his mother once last year and she acted numb and uncaring and then the boy yells at his mother that he didn't do anything wrong and she just takes it and says nothing. Sorry to rant but this has got to stop. I'm afraid for our neighboring children as well.
40 AnswersParenting1 decade agoShould a 10-11 yr. old boy be allowed to walk around the neighborhood with a real bow and arrow?
(I want unbiased opinions so I'm not going to include details until after the fact)
14 AnswersParenting1 decade agoAnyone having Yahoo Chat or Conference problems after downloading new yahoo messenger?
Problems like not being able to see what people are typing or not seeing any words at all when you know people are in there. I accidentally discovered the solution to that problem. I just thought other people might like to know about it.
If you have everyone ignored but the people on your list, I think it is somehow blocking what anyone not on your list is typing. It did that to me when I had a conference and I got mad at the wrong person because I couldn't see what the guy who was not on my list was typing. Try checking your preferences in yahoo messenger or chat and hopefully that will work.

12 AnswersParenting1 decade agoWhy are poople on level 1 getting their questions featured at the top of the page?
This guy for example: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/profile;_ylt=AvFAxx.eA... He has only 62 pts. and is level one. What the heck is going on? Do they just pick at random? I thought you had to have some points built up to be featured or have your question put on the top of the page.
7 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhy doesn't Yahoo add a "back to the list" feature so you don't have to click back three times every time you
answer a question. What about a current number of members and guests online feature? That would be nice. What do you think?
4 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhat are those long, bar type avatar things?
I've seen them on a few different names and they are very long and seem out of place. I'll send a link to the yahoo users that have it so you can see what I mean.

19 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoWhat do you think about making it mandatory for all politicians to live for 1 year on min. wage before?
being sworn into office? I think a lot of things would change if they had to live on what they expect us to.
10 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoDo you miss common courtesy and when did it die? and what killed it?
I remember when people used to hold the door for others, or say please, thank you and excuse me when trying to pass by on a store aisle. I remember when most people used their blinkers and would actually let you over when you were trying to merge in traffic. So many common courtesies are not being practiced and I find it very sad.
22 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoWhy is Mrs. Chris Brown so funny?
I know they will probably delete this but mrs. chris if you read this you have made me laugh at loud twice today.....and that don't happen often. Thanks!
7 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoEver noticed how holier-than-thou types are always eager to bash/judge you & your question b4 they even fully?
understand what you're talking about? Even if you are on the same page as they are they still try to insult you and nail you to a cross. What's the deal with that? If you are more moral or holy shouldn't you try to live your life as an example and seek first to understand and then to be understood? I think when they try to insult me it makes them look like hypocrites and imbeciles.. what do other people think? and have you had this done to you?
12 AnswersParenting1 decade agoParents- What do you think about allowing teens to try alcohol at home?
I hear people say they'd rather have them try it at home and that it would be safer. I agree it would be safer but I am torn. I'm having a real moral dilemma here. Help! (btw these are my bf's children and he thinks it's ok but I'm not so sure it's a good idea. They are only 8 and 10 now but I'd like more pros and cons about this issue.)
