I have a recipe for creamy polenta that calls for coarse polenta or coarse corn grits, but all I have is coarse cornmeal. Would this work as a replacement?

I grilled up some skirt steak for tacos and still have some meat left. Is there a way to make this into a soup tomorrow? I have carrots, potatoes, onions and garlic. If not, what could I do to it to make it different?

I don't know how much luck ill have with this, but i'll take any Bahamian recipe. Having said that I would love chicken souse, johnny cake, guava duff, peas and rice, coleslaw, potato salad, curry chicken, and peas soup with dumplings. I ate a dish not too long ago that was like a stew with chicken drumsticks, onions, carrots, potatoes, and well seasoned. My husband is Mexican and said it tasted exactly like a dish his mom made growing up, which is why I called it "Mexican stewed chicken drumsticks". I was marinating a 1 lb piece of steelhead trout in olive oil, hot sauce, honey, salt and black pepper. I just found out that we are having guests so I have to do something else for dinner since there will not be enough fish. It has been marinating for five hours now. Can I leave in it the marinade until tomorrow or will it have to be cooked tonight?
