  • Speedometer/odometer problems on 1986 Volvo 240?

What could be causing the speedometer to not work on a 1986 Volvo 240? We bought the car used, and the speedometer wasn't working when we bought it. The entire electrical system seemed pretty twitchy when we got it. My husband has managed to repair everything else on it, but not the speedometer/odometer. Sometimes it comes back on while driving, all of its own accord, and once it does, the cruise control functions. What things should we check? I'm hoping it's something we can work on ourselves, since we really can't afford any costly repairs at a garage.

  • Dog experts, I need your help! Best advice please?

My husband and I have two children. The youngest, who is 6, is autistic and for the most part non-verbal. We recently adopted a 1 year old dog, who is 1/2 Lab, 1/2 German Shepherd. He's a beautiful dog, seemed so sweet and intelligent, but we have a big problem. In the past few days, he has tried to bite my youngest son. My son is a very sweet child who is gentle with animals, and did nothing to provoke the behavior. The dog is an angel with me, my husband, and my older son, but singles out my youngest when he gets too close. I'm frankly scared, and right now the dog is outside and I'm not bringing him back in except during the day while the kids are at school. Should I try to find him a good home where there are no small children? I love the dog, but he is VERY strong, and if he were to attack my child or a neighbor's child, I'm not sure I would be able to get him pulled off in time. So far it's only been growling and snapping, next time I'm afraid it could be an all-out attack.

  • Zithromax, will it hurt anything to have alcohol while you're on it?

..or will it decrease Zithromax's effectiveness? I just started a Z-Pac today and I wondered if anyone knows if having a couple of beers will hurt anything.

  • Where can I buy stackable, wooden storage cubes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area?

I don't care if they're solid wood or pressboard. I need the open subes, nothing with doors or inner shelving. Hardware stores don't have exactly what I'm looking for. I'd prefer unfinished wood, but painted is ok too.
