Do I have to add more RAM? If so, what do I do?
4 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoCan you play windows XP games on Windows Vista?
My laptop crashed, it had XP. My new one has Vista. I have a ton of games that my kids loved (Civilization 3, Trophy Bass... etc) but they all say Windows 2000, 98 or XP. Will they work if I install them?
7 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoNeed advice from nursing mothers/doctors/nurses about increasing milk supply... asap!?
I started nursing my son from the moment he was born and continued, very successfully for 2 months. I started working full time again, so we introduced bottle feeding in addition to nursing, and he took very well to doing both. I recently had to go on a long business trip & I was away for several weeks. I was not pumping while I was away. My milk supply has almost completely gone away, it reminds me of the initial colostrum I started with... Now that I'm home, my son still nuzzles my chest & expresses interest in nursing, but quickly pulls away from the breast & cries when he doesn't get any milk, so I resort to giving him a bottle. Is it too late to get my milk production back to normal?? Is there something I can do?
11 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoNeed professional advice about newborn sleep habits...?
My son is 19 days old. I have been breastfeeding since the moment he was born & he falls asleep during nursing, every time. Then I move him into his bassinet. He sleeps peacefully for several hours at a time & is on a great schedule. But the problem we're having is that he will not fall asleep on his own. He has to fall asleep on me, & only me, even if he's not nursing. He won't just lie in his crib & sleep, & my husband can't get him to rest. When I hold him, he'll coo, curl up on my chest or in the crook of my arm, stare up at me & drift off. If he's totally asleep, I can put him down, but if he's even vaguely awake when I put him down, he'll whimper & wake up. Then I have to start all over again.
Our pediatrition swears that newborns arent capable of being "spoiled", trained, or conditioned. She said babies don't have "learned behaviors" or any "discipline" until at least 6 months of age. We disagree. Has he learned this? How do I get him to sleep without holding or nursing him?
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoAny women who have used or are currently using Norplant birth control?
What side effects have you experienced? Did you have problems with your weight or thinning hair? I have put on a lot of weight over the last 4 years although I eat healthy and continue to exercise. I thought I had a thyroid problem, but after several tests, my new doctor said my Norplant was to blame. I was shocked to learn that it was taken off the market years ago, because it causes extreme weight gain and hair loss. I am having it removed next week. Can anyone also tell me what the removal is like? Thanks for any input you could give.
1 AnswerWomen's Health2 decades agoHas anyone had surgery for ovarian cyst removal?
I was recently diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, about the size of a large peach. I will need to have it removed and I'm very nervous. How painful is the procedure? How long does it take to recover? Any advice you could give would be helpful.
