I've noticed that my Total number of Answers total goes up on the leaderboard as soon as I post an answer to a question. Why doesn't my score increase in the same way? Just curious.

Remember the old saying "See a penny, pick it up, all the day you'll have good luck!"?

I've been picking pennies up for as long as I can remember. Does anyone else do this?

I was talking to my sweetie this morning when I suddenly noticed the time. I said "It's 11:11! Make a wish!"

He said "Why?'

and I said "I don't know. It's something we did when we were kids."

So, did anyone else do this? And why?

An article I just read says

"Half of 1,000 Americans randomly surveyed by the McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum could name at least two of the five members of Fox Television's Simpson family, the stars of the network's long-running show.

But just 28 percent of respondents could name more than one of the five freedoms listed in the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment -- about the same proportion that could name all five Simpson family members or could recall the three judges on Fox TV's top-rated "American Idol."

Just 8 percent could recall three First Amendment freedoms.

Two-thirds of respondents did remember freedom of speech as one of five rights in the First Amendment, but just one person accurately named all five."

I was a bit worried for a moment, but, thankfully I could name them all. Can you?

We hear so much about 'gay rights'. In France they've instituted Domestic Partnership. The two parties sign a contract for however long they wish (from 1 year to 5 years, etc.)

It was made for gay couples, but surprisingly hetero couples are taking advantage of it too. It gives couples the same rights as if they were married.

Could we do something like that here in America? Would it work? What do you all think?
