I need help with the title of an obscure movie. I don't remember a whole lot about it. Most of the movie took place after an atomic bomb. There were a couple of people scraping to get by. They were calling their parrot "Dad" and eventually they had to eat "Dad". In the end they were rescued by some sort of makeshift hotair balloon. I think it was BBC movie. I could easily have gotten some of the details wrong, but that's all I remember. Please help, it's driving me crazy!

I'm getting my boyfriend a banjo for valentime's day. He's been wanting one for years. He's not that musically gifted, he's never played an instrument before. I've played numerous stringed instruments over the years, so I'm going to help him as much as I can. What I need to know is, what are the major differences between banjos and other stringed instuments that I might not know about? For example, are there any major differences between tuning or restringing a banjo and a guitar?

I don't know anything about finger picks. Do they come in different sizes, or are they all adjustable? Do they come in different weights like guitar picks?

This is just a trial period. He might try it out and decide he doesn't even like it, so no need to go into too much detail. I'm just looking for the basics.

Just regular old ginger root. I know it dries out easily, but the dried parts can be removed. How long should I keep up the process of removing the dry parts and using it?

I know it has something to do with zipped files, but that's about it. How do they work and what programs do I need to zip/unzip them? I'm pretty much in the dark, so any info at all would be appreciated.

I'm usually pretty knowledgeable about these herbal remedies, but this one stumped me. I have all sorts of tea, but I can't decide which to drink to calm my stomach.
