I have a pc that has a fresh install the processor shows signs of overheating. I checked the relation between the cpu and the heatsink...found it loose...I cleaned and then applied a fresh coat of thermal goop...fired it up ...and it still shut down after about an hour....I put it under a test when it shut down...I was scanning for threats...I currently have the panel open while I'm running the pc right now It is running ok....so could it be a fan not doing a good job or could the cpu be damaged from prior overheating??...
