What kind of glue can I use that will stick tight, but still be able to pry up later if I have to?
Super Glue would work, but I'll never get it up again. I am gluing a new plastic screen cover on my cell phone.
1 AnswerDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoHow many fish live can in a lake?
I've found that when stocking a pond to use anywhere from 500-1000 bluegills per acre, 250-500 crappies per acre and 50-100 bass per acre. Can anyone provide me information that says how many fish might live in a natural lake?
4 AnswersFishing1 decade ago97 Grand Prix: Help determine where the coolant leak is from?
My 97 Grand Prix (3.8 non-sc) has an external coolant leak on the top of the engine. It's mainly on the belt side.
Facts:
* Coolant will leak out and sit on the top of the engine and smoke.
* After coolant level drops to a certain point, it no longer leaks out, but the temperature gauge stays in the normal range and engine does not overheat.
* If I top off the coolant it takes about 2 days driving 50-60 miles per day to leak out enough so it stops.
* There is no coolant mixing with the oil, only externally.
* The "Low Coolant" light will come on but it also goes off even after the it stops smoking and the level is "low". Could this be related to a vacuum leak in the plenum?
So my main guess is it's probably leaking out the plenum gasket, but the top of the plenum will get wet too. Is that just splatter or could it be cracked? Also, could a bad PCV do this? I'm considering if I should just replace the gasket, replace the entire plenum + gasket or if it could be something else.
3 AnswersPontiac1 decade agoPHP development IDE for Linux?
One of the downfalls of Linux is there isn't a "Dreamweaver replacement". Quanta sucks and is buggy. Komodo IDE looks good, but it's pricey (Komodo Edit is a nice editor, but doesn't have the project management features I want.) I can't get Aptana/Eclipse to work on my AMD64 Ubuntu machine.
What I've kinda been envisioning is a combination project based on gPHPedit and gFTP. gPHPedit is a nice php editor, but there are no ftp options, and I don't mean just being able to open a file on an FTP site. If you've ever used Dreamweaver, you know how the project manager/local/remote files part works. That is what I want added to gPHPedit.
Where would I get started if I wanted to do something like this? gPHPedit and gFTP are both C/GTK+ so that should be ideal, the source from one should be fairly reusable with the other. I have done quite a bit of C/C++ programming, but it was a few years ago (mostly doing web based PHP now). GTK+ is new to me.

I looked at Dell's Ubuntu laptops, but they charge more for the ones with Ubuntu preinstalled than the ones with Windows. I just want to buy a laptop without spending the extra money to have the OS installed. I can install Linux myself.
10 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoFinally working in IT without a degree!?
School is not for me, but I am a programmer. It took a long time to get into IT, but I finally made it.
I had a good job at a big company, but it was boring and I hated it. I worked there for 5 years. I kept trying to get into the IT department, just into the helpdesk or something to get my foot in the door. They kept promising and promising, but when the jobs came up I never got an interview because I didn't have a degree (I do have A+ and NET+ though.)
Finally I decided to quit my good job as it was evident it was never going anywhere and work as a freelancer full-time programming and designing websites. Things were tough at times, but I've finally reached my goals. After working on my own for about a year and a half I started spreading my resume around and seeing what's out there. I was contacted by a recruiter a couple weeks ago who had a position with the state. I met with him, got an interview and got a contract position doing web programming for the next 4-6 months.
