  • Which of the following can people on YA not help you with or do not care about?

Pregnancy or injury - Cannot make a diagnosis over the internet (EVER); go see a doctor.

Outfits or clothes - If you cannot dress yourself, stay home.

Homework - Do your own homework or use resources to solve the problem.

Family drama - DO NOT AIR your personal family drama online, no one cares.

Does he like me? - Walk over and ask.

Animal injuries or sickness - Go to or call a Vet.

How does this look, can I wear this, how do I look, is this ok or any of the other variations - Do you really need validation from strangers?

Can I do this, is this ok, how do I, where can I find, is this a good school, what should I major in, I do not know what to study - then get out and get involved in something, be proactive, not reactive, it is YOUR life, LIVE IT.

And stop going on and on in detail about some pointless facet of your life NO ONE cares about. Quit whining and being so dependent on others. Life is not a spectator sport.

  • Why do you think we care?

Why do think we will do your homework for you, care about your hair, makeup, clothes, your medical condition, tell you how to do something, talk to you about boys or girls or silly juvenile romance, help you name your children, or care about what someone in your family said? Problems are solved by action, not by whining and crying and saying how do you or can I do this. Take action. Be proactive.

  • I do not understand why or how?

I do not remotely begin to understand why people would ask VERY personal questions of strangers on the internet. About pregnancy, children's names, boyfriends/girlfriends, schools, clothes, family situations.

    Why?

The idea of asking anonymous strangers personal questions would NEVER and has never occurred to me.

These situations should be dealt with privately.

I do not again understand the need for public discourse of these situations.

  • Why do people share personal situations?

Why do people insist on sharing personal, private situations with strangers on the internet or asking medical questions, or asking some question which if they took 5 minutes to do the research could figure out for themselves or ask people to do their homework? Yes, there are some (very few) legitimate questions, but most are unnecessary and no, I do not have to read them.

  • When did people become so dependent?

When did the world become so lazy and unable to solve simple problems on their own? Instead of wasting time asking questions to strangers on YA, use your energies to research and solve your own problems. Having others do your work makes you seem needy and unintelligent.

I suspect you can figure out how to read a map, solve your own math problems, ask someone whether they like you, discuss a personal problem privately and generally stop portraying yourself as helpless.

  • What questions cannot be answered?

I will ask again, because apparently the brain trust running amok on Yahoo Answers have forgotten a few simple realities?

Which questions cannot be accurately answered on YA?

    Am I pregnant?

What is wrong with me, what illness, disease or sickness do I have?

What should I do with my hair, makeup, clothes?

    Does he like me?

    Can you do my homework?

  • Which of the following CANNOT be answered by strangers on YA?

    Am I pregnant?

Do I have a serious disease, ailment, infection, fever, etc?

    Am I cute?

    Does he like me?

    How should I approach her?

What should I wear the first day of school?

How can I be more popular?

    Will you do my homework?

  • When will YA stop coddling these people?

When will everyone stop worrying about how they look or if a boy likes you or what color your hair should be or will you do my homework? And when will YA stop coddling every little whiny person who gets their feelings hurt when someone says something they do not like and complains?

Here in the real world, no cares about your feelings or what you think your hair color should be or if someone likes you.

Quit whining, take responsibility and start solving your own problems.

  • Why can people not spell?

Why can you people not spell or use entire words? Or you really this lazy or unable to communicate?

The correct spellings of common words are as follows: please, what, you, because, does, I, its (is posessive), it's (contraction for it is), weather (as it rain, sun, etc), and pregnant, just to offer a few.

And do not tell me this is the way people communicate; only people who do not care about intelligence or social skills.

  • Teacher Turnover?

Why do you believe there is a high Teacher turnover, especially in Math and Science? I have research from NEA, NCTFA, NY Times, but am interested in personal opinions. Thank you.

  • When do you decide . . . ?

When did people decide the majority of unintelligble users of YA have the ability to make a diagnosis over the internet? No one can tell what your illness or malady is or if you are pregnant from reading a few poorly written words on a forum to strangers. Here is a crazy, I know absurd, idea; GO TO A DOCTOR.

  • When did everyone lose the ability to be self-sufficient?

I do not begin to understand the plethora of questions here regarding what should I wear, eat, do you like my hair, body, what should I do about my boyfriend, can you do this homework, how does this work, where can I get, when is, and on and on ad naseum. Take some intiative, do some research, be self-confident, self-assured and self-efficient or we will continue to lose more and more ground to other countries in the form or skills, technology, ability and jobs.

  • Homework question?

WHY? Are you people incapable of doing your own homework? Asking others, who may or not know the answer, to do your work DOES NOT help you understand the concept or learn to do the work on your own; a very basic and important skill. QUIT asking others to do your work.
