Homemade baked vegetable/fruit chip ideas?
One of my favorite things to make is apple chips. I slice them with a mandolin and put them in a 225 degree oven for about three hours until they are crisp. Yum! However, I tried the same technique with sweet potatoes (I love fried sweet potato chips), and the result was rubbery and disgusting. Anyone have any other veggies or fruits they bake chips out of? I really don't want to waste any more produce experimenting. :S
Thanks!
1 AnswerCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat color eyeshadow should I wear for a wedding(click for my coloring specifics)?
I have pale skin and nondescript blue/grey/green eyes. I have shoulder length darkish red hair which I will probably curl and have half up half down. My dress will be a dark lavender. I would like to make my eyes pop (as they are nice but rather unremarkable on their own) but I want it to be subtle.
Thanks!

2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoHas anyone else been having serious problems with acuvue advance contacts in the past few months?
Ever since I got my new set of contacts (in October, I think) my eyes have been turning red. I ignored them for a while because they didn't hurt, but in the last week or so they have started watering and burning horribly. I took my contacts out four hours ago and my eyes still hurt now, but I know from experience they will be fine in the morning. I have never had problems with this brand of contact before, have no allergies, and usually can do things such as wear a contact with a large tear in it for days and not feel it (that is to say, it takes A LOT to irritate my eyes). Has anyone else had problems of this sort, and does anyone know if perhaps the company changed the material that the contacts are made out of?
4 AnswersOptical1 decade ago[cheap] Victorian decorating ideas for an apartment?
I am moving into my first apartment next semester, and am thinking ahead to decorating ideas. The apartment is already furnished with generic uninspired furniture which I am planning on hiding with well placed blankets and doilies (but hey, at least I don't have to buy furniture...). I am only allowed to put three nails in the walls for pictures and such (how generous of them, I know). Ideas for functional or decorative items that I could make or buy cheaply would be great. Thanks!

6 AnswersTrivia1 decade agoIs there anyone else who prefers writing with a dip pen and ink to a cartridge pen?
I just like going through the motions of uncapping the ink, dipping the pen, etc. I think it is more interesting than using a ballpoint [I sometimes sit at my desk and write just for fun :)]. Also, can anyone recommend a good website that sells nice but affordable pens and nibs?

1 AnswerHistory1 decade agoProblem with the sims 2 bon voyage?
The game runs fine on my sisters computer, but on mine it has several glitches. It will not let me attempt to book a vacation from the computer, and when I try to do so from the phone, the taxi just keeps driving by and never stops to pick me up.
Also, even after the mail carrier has left my lot, my sim keeps waiving to him, and random newspapers start to appear every few seconds. Sims keep walking onto my lot and then getting stuck, and just standing at the end of the sidewalk.
Like I said, the game runs fine on my sisters computer, and we have the same kind of computer and share the same game.

6 AnswersBooks & Authors2 decades agoI am looking for a children's fantasy book, but don't remember the title or author?
I dont remember much about it. I remember that the main charicter got her name from some kind of mark on her ribs (and that she might have been left in a basket at a castle, not clear on that though). Then there was something about a changeling and everyone blamed the main character, when she was really trying to help and she had to hide in the forest. Then she turned into some kind of bird at the end and flew out the window. I know thats not very clear, but its all that I remember.
