2 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoWhat does HSS mean re Fender guitars? Advice/opinions needed?
I'm looking at some guitars to buy and I don't have time to research this as thoroughly as I'd like. I'm considering a Deluxe Series Squier HSS Fat Strat that I found a great price on, but I really don't know what I'm buying. There are a few different models, and I'm hoping there's someone here with knowledge that can help me.
The Squiers are in my price range - I wish I could afford better, but that's how it is. What are the practical differences in the different Squier series? I'm not concerned with the finish or appearance at all. What does HSS mean? Please help me with your opinions and advice.
2 AnswersMusic1 decade agoHow can I swap caps and lowercase in a text document?
My wireless keyboard doesn't have a caps lock indicator light. Sometimes I accidently hit the Caps Lock key without realizing it and continue to type, ending up with a couple of paragraphs with caps and lowercase transposed before I notice. Is there a way to fix this without retyping? I'm talking about a plain text document, like Notepad works with. Here's an example of what I mean: i USE yAHOO MORE OFTEN THAN gOOGLE OR msn.

I've noticed this in ads more often lately - the subject is looking up into a camera that's positioned above. Is there a name for this? Is it new?

I know this is done for 911 purposes, but can a parent use it to keep track of kids? Does a regular customer have access to the info?

6 AnswersYahoo Answers2 decades agoWhy won't MP3 files open for me in IE6?
Winamp is my player. Files open normally when I click on them in Windows Explorer. When there's a link on a website or email to an MP3 file, I can right click on it and save and open with no problem. However if I left click on the link in IE6, I just get a blank page with a placeholder in the top left corner. I suspect it's one of my IE6 security settings. I'd like to keep those settings like they are. If I knew which one was causing my problem, I could change it when I needed to, and change it back afterward. Yes I know I could go thru my security settings one by one and maybe find it, but I'm not really sure if that's the problem; I'm hoping someone here will have a better idea. If you've gotten this far, thanks for reading my question!

3 AnswersMovies2 decades agoQuestion about using Find function in IE6?
I already know how to use the Edit > Find function in IE6, so you don't need to respond with how to do it. My question is about retention of a search term. Sometimes the search term I type in is still there the next time I use Find and I don't have to type it in again, and sometimes I have to type it in again. What determines if it is saved or not? I like to search for "Resolved" in my Watch List. Yes, I know I can visually scan for the word myself, but it's quicker to use Find. Yes, I know I can type it in each time I go to another page.
2 AnswersInternet2 decades agoHow do I get Windows XP to call up dialup connection when a program requests internet access?.?
I'm running World Community Grid software on a Windows XP SP2 system. The program downloads a work unit, then processes it for a varying time period, usually several hours, then needs to connect to server to upload results and download a new work unit. It needs to call up dialup networking to do so. It does this with no problem in Windows 98SE, but not in XP.
When I start IE on my XP system, it calls up dialup networking, dials and connects as it should, so I know my connection is correctly configured. Can anybody help with this?
