SHAKESPEARE// What exactly does this quote by Sir John Falstaff mean?
Henry the Fourth. Part 2.
Shallow: Jesu, Jesu! The days that we have seen!
Falstaff: We have heard the chimes at midnight...
Books & Authors10 years agoWhat was this great movie on TCM this morning?
I didn't have time to watch much.
Cast (in part):
Marlon Brando, Robert Redford, Robert Duvall, Jane Fonda...
Plot (in part):
Some Texas County; early/mid 1960's. There is a tycoon named Val (I think) Rogers, who controls pretty much everything. He has a son who is married, but has a secret affair with Anne (Jane Fonda). Brando is the Sherriff. Sam (Robert Redford) has escaped from prison and tried to catch a train for Mexico but it was going the wrong way so he jumped off in a river. Then he (Sam) decided to return home (some Texas county). The character played by Robert Duvall seems obsessed with fear that Sam will return and possibly shoot him. He (Duvall) seems to think that Sam (Redford) knows about the time he stood by and let the blame and sentence fall on him (Redford) for a petty crime which took place in their youth; $50 which was taken from some cash register by (Duvall). Does Sam (Redford) think that __(Duval) is to blame for his recent incarceration.
Anyway, I just want to know what movie this was. It had an ALLSTAR cast and a pretty interesting plot.

5 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoAre watersprite and water wisteria the same plant?
I know a lot of mistakes are made in the fishkeeping hobby, both at home and at the retailer. I've seen pics in articles of one that looks exactly like the other. I've seen the "wisteria" in my home aquarium behave like watersprite. I can't help but being confused.
So please explain the differences (if any) between...
Water sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides)
Water Wisteria (Hygrophila difformis)

I threw some frozen gp's in there and they were greedily accepted by my Rosy Red Minnows. How do gp's stack up to other veggies such as zuccini and lettuce in the way of nutrients. What else should be on the menu?
3 AnswersFish1 decade agoHow are convict ciclids in a large community tank; aggressive bullies, or friendly?
125 long with some plastic plants and a lot of "cavy" live-rock. Zebra Dannio's, 1 or 2 black sharks, 1 pleco
6 AnswersFish1 decade agoAnyone with Hammer's Cobalt Blue, or Blue lobsters; what do you know about care and feeding?
I'm thinking of adding at least one to my new 125 fw tank. There is lots of cover with live rock and flower pots. I would appreciate any advice.
5 AnswersFish1 decade agoWhat's with all the foam?
I just set up a 125 (us gal) freshwater tank with a wet dry sump. Is it normal to have a bunch of foam on top of the bio filter side? It looks like dishwater. wtf? This is not a new system, but I was told it contained freshwater before.
2 AnswersFish1 decade agoWhat year was this shotgun built?
I have a Lefever Nitro Special DB 20 ga. The S/N looks like 1S8916; unless that's the model number. It's stamped in the steel under the right chamber and you have to breach it to see it. Also there's a "20" stamped under the left chamber. I assume that means 20 gauge.
We found it in my father's house when he died. I think maybe it belonged to my grandfather who died around 1955. I'm surprised I know nothing about this old piece because my father would have been eager to tell me about it being such a historian. It seems it just appeared!
3 AnswersHunting1 decade agoIs it smart to run 87 octane gasoline in a higher compression engine
This article says that even tho some manufacturers recommend (or require) 93 octane, its not really going to cause damage to use 87 because the computer's sensor will compensate....or something.
So has anybody tried it? Notice any difference? Please tell me what you think.
8 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoAny flight simmers out there wanna tell me what type of hardware you would recomend for MSFSX?
I've had FS9 since 2005 and its a fantastic program, especially with all the add-on software available; it's difficult to move on.
But high time...
So what PC do you think I need to start with in order to run FSX flawlessly as it is, and equally well as the add-on software begins to roll in?
3 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade agoWhat kind of plant is this?
Found extensively in the Florida Keys, it is a tropical type very similar to a snake plant except for the color which is a deep dark maroon like shade.
1 AnswerBotany1 decade agoIf I were to set up a 180 gallon tropical aquarium, what would be the best type of filtration system?
ie; undergravel, surface skimming, or both. Keep in mind, I want to have abundant plant life.

5 AnswersMusic2 decades agoCan anyone explain this strange dream to me? Please take the time to read.?
I was in a boat on a twitight sea alone. I saw a pretty woman swim up to the side of the boat, and I could see she was troubled by the look of fear in hers eyes. She said nothing, nor did I as she reached up for me. I took her by both arms and tried to pull her out of the water, but it was like she was stuck in quicksand. Then a huge shark's head appeared out of the black water like a sinister apparition approaching her. I looked at it and she looked at it then looked back at me. Her fear turned to extreme terror but still she was silent as the sharks white triangular teeth sunk into her sides and pulled her under. The worst part for me was her eyes. One eye dissapeared and the other grew to the size of a fist as the shark folded her up in its mouth in a bizzare dreamy fashion. There was never a sound and I was frozen as her one huge eye stared at me, expressionless from inside the sharks mouth.
That's it. Thanks
