What do you do to stay close to your children as they grow up, and to make sure they will remember you, if you are no longer there when they do?

Just curious what others think about this. I do have my own opinions on the matter, which I will share when the best answer is chosen.

used to get 250 miles on a full tank, now we're getting 90 miles less. Any ideas?

My dog is a pit-rot that has all of the signs of hip dysplasia. He is 8 yrs old, and it went from no symptoms to extreme symptoms in a matter of days. He went from walking fine, to not being able to get his legs out of a locked straight position. He's too old for surgery. I can't convince my husband to do the humane thing for our dog. We are working with a vet, to manage the pain, but I want to know if, other than not getting around,will the HD will have any other effects on his body? Anyone know what the life expectancy of a dog w/ the severe stage of HD is?

We had a co-signer, we defaulted he took over payments and trailer. He defaulted, and the trailer was repossed and foreclosed. Did we have the right to be notified before the foreclosure, to make it legit on their part?If so, where do I find a copy of these rights for us, as loan holders?

Trying to find out the guidelines for removing accounts on your record. If a debtor fails to verify the debt they say you owe, is that grounds enough alone, to get it removed from your report? If an account is removed on those grounds, and they verify the debt, can they put it back on your report for another full 7 years, or just the remainder of the initial posting's 7 year term?

My husband had a loan w/ co-signer, we defaulted, so co-signer took over payments and trailer. Co-signer defaulted, and trailer was repossessed and auctioned off. My husband was not contacted at all when co-signer defaulted, or until 2 years AFTER the trailer was auctioned. Origional loan company went bankrupt, sold the debt to another company. No one that has contacted us will verify the debt they say we owe. The loan portfolio is sitting on my husband's credit report as an account in the full balance amount. Can they bill both my husband and the co-signer for the full amount due, especially without verifying the debt?

He bought a trailer with a co-signer. We missed two payments, so the co-signer took over payments in 12-1998. We never took my husband's name off the loan. The trailer was repossessd and resold in 10-2001. We got a call two years after they had repossessed it and resold it trying to collect a debt. They never contacted us when our co-signer defaulted after he took over, before they repossessed the trailer. The loan company that gave us the loan went bankrupt and sold our debt to someone else, who in turn handed the debt over to another company. Should we still be responsible for the debt that they won't even send us documents to verify? And when does it come off of my husband's credit, or can we get it removed somehow?

My mother always made these for me as a kid, unfortunately, the recipe was lost before I could share these treats with my children.
