Or, if you know how much was spent total (including state and local spending), before it hit, that would also be helpful.
3 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoIs he legally liable for damages?
My friend's wrist was broken when she was hit by a golf ball. She was teeing off on one hole and a 16 y.o. was teeing on another. I guess his ball went askew and hit her. Is he legally responsible for her injury?

If not, do you know what movie (circa 1989) this happened in?
2 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoMy sister just had a baby (today!) and I want to send her a little gift...?
I already got her something at the baby shower, but I thought it'd be nice to send a little congratulations and let them know I'm thinking about them. I don't know if flowers would be appropriate, what if the little one is allergic or something? Any ideas?

3 AnswersJazz1 decade agoBackpack for someone with lower back pain?
I recently found out that the cause of this excruciating pain is a herniated disk. I'm in grad school and used to use a messenger bag but I think a backpack would distribute the weight better and cause less strain on my back. I also want to find a back that has good ventilation - many backpacks make my back sweat! Any suggestions?

I'm visiting Nebraska in a couple weeks (I just moved to Atlanta) and would like to have some fun "made in Georgia" gifts like candles, soap, art, goodies, etc - pretty much anything!

1 AnswerAstronomy & Space1 decade agoDo you think the Senate will pass the Prevention First Act?
It's not the first time this bill has been introduced. If you don't think it'll be passed, why not? It has wide support from both pro-life and pro-choice crowds. Do you think it'll be reintroduced?

My friend is going back to Africa and he wants to take a good, general movie about MLK JR with him.
1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoHow much childcare assistance am I eligible for?
I am mother of two (8 y.o. and 1 y.o.) with an annual net income of $14,742. I live in the Bronx. The 1y.o. needs full time care and the 8y.o. needs part time care (after school). I know that I am eligible for childcare assistance with a public childcare provider but I can't get any information on how much I will end up paying without going to their office to fill out an application. Does anyone have any experience with this?
3 AnswersParenting1 decade agoAm I eligible for Food Stamps? How much?
I live in the Bronx, I have 2 kids (8y.o. and 1y.o.) and my monthly net income is $1,191. I don't really have any assets: no car, don't own my home, pretty much living month to month. I don't want to go down and apply until I have at least an idea of how much I am eligible for (if at all). Thanks.
3 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhich medical schools look more favorably at nontraditional applicants?
I've heard that some medical schools admit more nontraditional students than others. I'm 30 now and would be starting next year in the Fall of 2008 (after I finish my MPH).
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoI'm looking for the name of a piece of music.?
I've heard it played on piano either by itself or with a number of different backgrounds, most of which I would classify as ambient. I think it's also been sampled for an R&B or hiphop song. The melody itself is sad and quite haunting. Any ideas? Know of a link where I could listen to see if it's the one I'm thinking of? Thanks!
