1 AnswerHomework Help1 decade agoHas anyone else had issues with Vonage cancellation?
Tried to cancel my Vonage. Really didn't like it. Really didn't want to have to deal with someone telling me what a mistake I was making. Vonage acknowledged my cancellation request by email, but wouldn't cancel unless I called. They ran the bill up by $90 then cancelled me for nonpayment. Anyone had this problem, and if so, what did you do to get Vonage to LISTEN?

Yes life begins at conception. If you can kill a fetus by sucking out its brains, why not mom when she is old, can't sit up and feed herself?
6 AnswersLaw & Ethics2 decades agoDoes a woman have a right to choose?
It's beyond fair debate that Rowe v. Wade was a poorly reasoned result oriented decsion. (White, J., joined by Rehnquist, J., dissented, saying that nothing in the language or history of the Constitution supported the court's judgment, and that the court had simply fashioned and announced a new constitutional right for pregnant mothers and, with scarcely any reason or authority for its action, had invested that right with sufficient substance to override most existing state abortion statutes) It shouldn't stand simply because of stare decisis. (Non lawyers, you don't need to weigh in here). However, explain how many liberals oppose the death penalty but support abortion. Most liberals oppose the death penalty on moral grounds - either it isn't "right" or "we might take the life of an innocent person." In the same breath, many liberals champion a woman's right to "choose." An unborn child is innocent. The two positions are morally incompatible and defy logic. Answer away.
6 AnswersLaw & Ethics2 decades agoHow does one combat political correctness in the name of reason?
P.C. drives me nuts. Is there no such thing as truth or free speech? If you dare criticize affirmative action, you are labeled "racist," even though aa may actually be bad for african-american youth. If you dare suggest that there isn't a "right to an abortion," you are a sexist pig (or worse) - even though the issue should be open to moral and legal debate. I'm not suggesting that one position is right or wrong here- I'm saying that OPEN DEBATE is being crushed by a culture of PC. We have PC police in the media, society, and (I bet) we'll see them come out in posts to follow ! Open discussion and inquire are fine as long as they don't refute the set of judgments adopted by the politically correct about how the world is, or should be.
