How to fix a saline tank?
I have a twenty gallon reef tank that is about 2 weeks in the set up process, I have some live rock, a clown and a fire fish. My original SG was 1.021. I did a 25% water change and the water I put in was 1.024 SG. I retested the tank and it reads 1.021 still. How can I bump this up safely? I'm using ro/di water.

5 AnswersPhotography9 years agoLens math question for advanced photographers?
Pupil diameter (aperture wide open), focal length and f-stop are all related. For example if I take a 600mm lens and divide that by f/4 I get 150. Then 150 X .0394 (mm to inches) I get 5.91 which is about the diameter of the pupil, and also about the diameter of the lens in inches. ok I understand that. But does the same math hold up for a (14)-24mm f/2.8? Lets do the same math, 24 divided by 2.8= 8.57. Then 8.57 x .0394= .33xxx. Does it make sense that the pupil is only 1/3 of an inch wide, when wide open? I believe its true, but hard to wrap my mind around.

3 AnswersPhotography9 years agoWhat do you remember that you had to overcome?
I remember walking into camera stores and spotting those expensive cameras that cost a thousand dollars or more and thinking I would never be able to afford such things. Here I am years later with ridiculously expensive equipment and realize that a thousand dollars won't even buy a good strobe, well it can but not really. Certainly not a studio set up.
4 AnswersPhotography9 years agoHall of fame bad questions---- in photography etc.?
Ones you've heard or asked yourself. I once asked about shooting children. What I forgot was that I am a photographer. I got a lot of grief for that one. It never even occurred to me that i was asking something completely different.

It hit a pan of hot grease and browned a bit on both sides, then hit a hot oven for ten minutes sans grease. Possibly the juiciest steak I have ever had. MR by the way. 7 AnswersPhotography9 years agois 250 degrees to hot for smoking meat?
I bought an electric smoker at a yard sale today. There really is no way to adjust the temp. However the little door on the side can be opened, but i'm not sure how much to open it and not sure of its effects. I have baby back ribs on the top and a chicken on the lower level. Also I don't want to over smoke it, so I am also asking if I should keep adding wood chunks through the process or just for a while.

1 AnswerPhotography1 decade agoI run a single owner LLC in Colorado and have decided to run a dba...?
to run a DBA under it. The DBA has a different name of course and it does a different thing. The DBA is simply a trade name. Now since its parent company is a LLC does the DBA company have liabily protection of any kind or is it completly wide open pass through like a sole proprietor? in the past I have filed a schedule C and use an IEN number instead of social security.
