Women: What do you mean when you say you need a guy to "commit"?
"Commit" is a pretty severe word, as in "You committed that crime! Admit it!" said the detective to the suspect in the interrogation room. Or "Why did you push him off the cliff? That's it, man, you're committed for life!"... is there a better word than "commit"? What does it mean exactly? I'm ready for my education, girls!

10 AnswersCareers & Employment2 decades ago65% of women say they understand men. Only 10% of men say they understand women. Why?
I'm totally fascinated by the female psyche and the delicate mental mechanism that regulates their thinking and feeling. But as a guy, I notice that men seem not very interested in learning more about women. I don't have a single male friend who has read Gloria Steinem or Naomi Wolf... No, no, I'm not gay! :-) Just so fascinated by women... (I wonder what God was thinking when He created Eve)...
7 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships2 decades agoWho taught you how to think and are you satisfied with the teaching?
My thinking master and teacher is definitely Dr Edward de Bono, who wrote about fifty books on the subject of creativity. I was just wondering how other people learned how to think (logically or creatively). Thanks.
7 AnswersPhilosophy2 decades agoIs Yahoo! Answers revolutionizing the world?
I noticed a few exceptional people who seem to consistently provide thoughtful, relevant and insightful answers full of wisdom and erudition. Is Yahoo! Answers enabling the smartest of men and women to access a world stage where their knowledge can guide and illuminate the path of (usually younger and) less experienced fellow human beings?
8 AnswersPhilosophy2 decades agoHow did dating evolve?
An author wrote that dating evolved because women needed to evaluate the worthiness of the man before she gave herself. Indeed, in ancient times, it was life-threatening to give birth, and also difficult to raise a baby alone (assuming the birth process was successful). Is that theory plausible? (Serious answers only please)
5 AnswersCultures & Groups2 decades agoUnethical to charge people for answers on Yahoo! Answers?
Would it be unethical for people who have the answers, to charge people who ask questions (say, $2-10)? I mean, if the questions is really important, wouldn't that motivate other people to provide really smart and thoughtful answers?
5 AnswersOther - Business & Finance2 decades agoIs there a way to use Yahoo! Answers to find smart people and ask them to solve tough problems in society?
Let's face it, most answers on Yahoo! Answers have very low quality. And it's okay, it's fun and enables people to socialize.
But what if we could tap the intelligence of really smart people? What if we could identify them and ask them tough questions? I'm sure they would be flattered, and at the same time, they could contribute to making the world a better place. www.innocentive.com is a good example of open-source problem-solving, although it's not a free service. What if Yahoo! Solutions was created to help solve society's problems, by tapping the brains of really smart people?
