I'm 45, will be 46 soon. Friends are encouraging me to go out with a guy who is 61. Too much age difference?
I was in a long-term relationship with a man 12 yrs. older than me before, but he passed away a few years ago. This new gentleman and I do have some interests in common. But I am hesitating due to the age difference, almost 16 yrs.. Looking for advice from anyone who has experience with this large a difference. Thanks.

2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoHave you ever had a professional petsitter or dog walker care for your pet? If so, how much did it cost?
Also, were you required to pay up front, or after the petsitting job was completed? Any petsitters out there, what is the cost, & do you require payment up front, or collect at the end of the job? Thanks.
5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoDo (would) you pay a professional dog walker to walk your dog? How much do (would) you pay per visit?
I am considering starting a pet care business, & would like to offer dog-walking service for people who work long hours & must leave their dogs at home. I live in central PA, & I am trying to find out if people in general like this service, & if so, what would be a fair rate to charge? High gas prices & I have to pay my bills, but what's fair?
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoI am starting a pet sitting business. Which professional pet sitting organization is best to join?
I have only a limited budget to start my business. I am trying to choose either the National Association of Professional Petsitters (NAPPS) or Petsitters International (PSI). Which is more helpful, useful, & most respected? Any petsitters out there or customers who like their petsitters, please advise me. Thanks!

12 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoHas anyone given an older dog the arthritis medication Deramaxx with GOOD results, WITHOUT side effects?
I have heard so much about possible liver, kidney, or other damage, & my vet does admit there are risks, but still wants me to give this medication to my elderly dogs, a mixed breed & a lab. They DO have severe pain & impaired mobility due to arthritis, but I wonder if the medication will do more harm than good? So far, the mix seems better, the lab is about the same, but I still feel weird about giving the meds. What experiences have other dog owners had with it? Anything GOOD? Thanks.
4 AnswersDogs2 decades agoWhat NO KILL dog rescue groups or shelters will take a mature, female American Pit Bull Terrier mix?
My friend can't keep this dog, & I love the dog, but can't take her in, because I already have 7 other pets. We urgently need info on NO-KILL, pit bull friendly, rescue groups & shelters. Preferably in or close to PA, NJ, MD, DC or VA. The dog has good points but also needs some training.

2 AnswersOther - US Local Businesses2 decades agoWhat is the best way to decide whether I should adopt a child?
I am a 44 year old woman, widowed, have no kids, but am considering the idea of becoming a foster parent or adopting a child. How can I decide if I could be a good parent, & if this is the right choice?
2 AnswersFriends2 decades agoAnyone want to adopt a friendly, smart, older, spayed female Labrador Retriever?
The no-kill animal rescue group that I work with in PA has one available. I rescued her from the local shelter that does kill, but I cannot keep her because I already have 7 other pets & am losing my job. If you are interesetd or know of someone in or near north-central Pennsylvania who is interested, drop me a note. THANKS!
3 AnswersDogs2 decades agoWhere can I stay near Charleston, SC, with 3 well behaved dogs?
My friend and I will be visiting the Charleston area in March. We will be travelling with a Boston terrier, a small mixed breed, and a Labrador retriever. The dogs are housebroken, friendly, and will sleep in dog crates, which we will bring along. Some hotel chains allow one dog per room. Any suggestions on where THREE GOOD dogs would be allowed? Motels, hotels, inns, bed & breakfasts, weekend rentals, anywhere near Charleston, will be helpful. We do not need a fancy place, & we will pay a pet fee if necessary.
2 AnswersOther - United States2 decades agoHow can I get a man who is not interested in having kids, to consider adopting?
I have been in a serious relationship with this guy for 3 yrs. We love each other & do not want to break up over this. But he says he is not interested in kids, & I would dearly love to adopt or foster an older child (12 yrs. plus). I am not baby-crazy, just would like to make a family & help a kid to have a better life. How can I get my guy to reconsider this?
