Subaru Impreza, Toyota Matrix or ...?
I'm looking into buying a new car, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to buy yet. Right now, it's between the Subaru Impreza (5 door) or the Toyota Matrix (AWD). I'm thinking of getting a AWD for the snow (I live in the Mid-Atlantic region), however I read online recently that AWD is a car feature that isn't really needed and I would like to have a car that has a backup camera (if possible).
The manufacturers that I am looking into possibly buying are Toyota, Subaru, Honda and Hyundai. I'm petite and would feel more comfortable in a smaller car (I currently have a Toyota Corolla). Does anyone have any feedback or suggestions regarding the Subaru Impreza or Toyota Matrix or had good experiences with these cars? Thanks in advance for your help!

4 AnswersTeaching9 years agoHow often do I need to get an oil change for a 1998 Toyota Corolla?
I read online that it's recommended to get an oil change very 3,000 miles, but I also read that I could wait up to 7,500 miles and that I should look at the owner's manual for my car. The last time I had an oil change, the mechanic used conventional oil.
Should I get an oil change right after 3.000 miles or can I wait a little longer? Also, does anyone know where I can find a owner's manual for a 1998 Toyota Corolla online? Thanks!

3 AnswersSoftware9 years agoComparing e-readers, what are the pros and cons?
I am thinking of purchasing an e-reader. I have looked into the Kindle, Nookcolor and Cruz. At the minimum, I would like one that does not cause too much eyestrain. Capabilities to surf the web, listen to music, etc would be an added plus, but not a requirement. Does anyone have any suggestions on the pros and cons for these three and other e-readers? In your opinion, which would be the best?

2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoWhich field should I go into?
Off and on, I considered becoming a school counselor - either for a high school or college/university. After some thinking, I realized that the only aspect that I really want to do as a school counselor is helping the students determine what classes to take, possible career counseling, applying for college, etc. Would this be more of an academic adviser type of thing? With this in mind, I'm now thinking about either going into Student Affairs or Organizational Development. Does anyone have any other suggestions of what possible areas I can go into? Is Student Affairs or Organizational Development the right areas for me to consider?

6 AnswersDrawing & Illustration1 decade agoHow long would the starter last for?
I had issues starting my car ('98 Toyota Corolla) a couple of times. The first time was a couple of months ago and then again this past week. The first time this issue lasted for about a week (off and on during the week). During that time, I brought my car in for a diagnostic, which came back with no issues. There apparently was nothing wrong with the starter, battery or alternator. The car was running fine for a couple of days before I brought it in. But now the issue is happening again. I tried to bring it in today, but was told that they could not see the car until Monday. So, I brought it to another place, so they could at least check the battery (this place unfortunately does not do full service). I was told that the battery in my car was ok, but they recommended for me to have the starter replaced. I want to try to get it fix asap, but may not be able to get it done for a few days. Since this is the second time this issue has occurred, how much longer before it gets worse?

1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoCounseling, Psychology or Education?
I am looking into masters programs but am not sure which degree (Counseling, Psychology or Education) to pursue. I would like to work at a school (K-12 or college.university) either as a counselor, academic coordinator/advisor, Education Director, Program Director, etc. I did some research online to see what I could do with each of these degrees and noticed that the fields that i'm interested in are listed under each. So, now I am not exactly sure which degree I would go for. Is there one that is more beneficial and flexible than the others? Which would you suggest would be the best?
5 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoWhich Masters degree should I go for?
I currently work as a training specialist, though I like my current job function, I do not like the industry I am working in. I am thinking about pursuing a masters in school/organizational counseling, with the plan to work at a counselor or academic advisor at an university after I get my masters. Sometime in the future I am hoping to work as a Director of Education. Would the masters in counseling be a bad idea? Should I go for a masters in education instead?

Lately, my laptop has been overheating. Sometimes when I have it on my laptop, I end up with red marks on my legs. It also shuts off sometimes. Is there something I can do to fix this? I've had this laptop for about 2 or 3 years. My friend suggested getting a new battery. Would that work?
