I've seen AC power taken from a lightbulb, when the bulb was on - it supplied AC to connected wires that lead to extra AC socket. My project would be different. I'd like to have a wire connected to non - functional e27 - middle pin should be 230V phase and the other part base. I'd like to lead this cable to a led strip that has AC plug (because it has a AC to DC 6.5V volter converter in the cable. Is this safe? The estimated power is up to 5W for the acdc converter and the supply of 6.5V is no more than cca 1 Amp.

if i'm going to build a circuit with 3.3V input and place leds there (rated to 3.3V) can i do it without any other additional parts like resistors?

Please help. I own a 1997 ford escort europe MK something, and I have this strange problem :

Whenever I leave battery connected overnight, it ends up empty . The thing is, if I disconnect it and connect it before use, it works and never discharges. The alternator gives it proper juice, everything is perfect.

Now, the fun part. WHen I measure parasitic drain, it doesn t exceed 20mA.

Is it possible some relay switches on at night and takes huge load from the battery? Or where would you look for a problem. The battery itself seems very fit.

This is not a whiny or sorry question. I am serious. My gf and her kids left to another country in sort-of end of relationship. It was a half-loving half-abusive relationship, as she refused treatment for her schizofrenia (doctors only suspected that but she didn't let them treat it) and drank a lot. We still have feelings for each other, but at this time, it's all so fresh and we, well I - can't make a decision about future because I'm deeply depressed. I suffer from major depression for most of my life.

Long story short, she and I are physically apart, she feels alone, I feel abandoned and brokenhearted and our chances to get back together are open but not certain.

Loneliness and need of loving and be loved made me try to move forward. I started to date, and found a wonderful person. Though she seems to have issues of her own (extreme shyness, panic fear of being rejected) we quickly fell in for each other. But she's very demanding and though I never lied to her and I disclosed all the details about my depressive condition, she doesn;'t have much empathy for that.

I think honestly is the best policy, and my ex went apesh*t. She wants me back, and all this made my depression much worse and significantly complicated my relationship with the new girl. I basically had a mental/emotional and even physical breakdown, leaving me very little energy and calmness to work.

I can't promise the new girl I will be with her forever and I'm not ready to force good-bye with ex. I am stuck and added to that, due my depression I am very fragile, blaming myself for even things I didn't cause and the worst of all - I am practically unable to make any decision without questioning it right afterwards.

The million dollar question, should I request a time out of them both, maybe let my doc change my meds or something, or just go with my gut and choose one? The old gf is troublesome, but we have a good history together (3 yrs), I know the new girl for only so long, but she does spray love hormons into my brain that help me feel alive (minus the drama)

This is extremely difficult for me and I feel super stuck with the situation, loneliness and depression altogether.

Hi. I suffer from mixed anxiety-depressive disorder. I've been on Paxil (paroxetine) for 17 years and it's the only drug that ever helped, however, it seems it's wearing out. I'm on 20mg/day. I am off-work for 4 years. 4 Years ago, my doc added me Effexor (venlafaxine) to my cocktail. The drug is supposed to help in 4 out of 5 patients, but it never did the trick. I was desperate, giving it a chance, and then we lowered the dose to 75 just to spare me of the horrible witdrawal. The med had several side effects, e.g. glaucoma-like symptoms and we needed to taper off. It went quite well by 6ths of 75mg dose to nothing. Few days after that I had mental breakdown, extreme depression and anxiety. Even earlier, I noticed I have anorgasmia. All this is supposed to be related to dopamine function impairment associated with venlafaxine withdrawal.

It's so bad I got back on two thirds of 37.5mg capsule of venlafaxin, hoping it will cease the horrible withdrawal, and hopefully revert anorgasmia (because that makes my depression more severe)

At this very point, I don't care as much for anorgasmia alone, but I need to do something because it's barely tolerable. My doc (as many docs) has little understanding about specific effects of withdrawal, but usually when I come in with a plan, she approves.

Do you think I should start with Wellbutrin ASAP to boost the dopamine function? Is this a way out?

Sometimes when i skip breakfast, i start to feel really weak, and my hand and body keeps shaking, especially after physical activity, even brief as cleaning a room.

Important facts - I weight 88 kg = 194 lbs. I take antidepressants (which cause dry mouth, are anticholingeric, decrease electrolyte levels (esp. sodium and potassium). I don't have diabetes, but I am always thirsty. (so I was before anti-depressants as well, but not as much). I need to state I have decreased appetite, too.

Could this "shaky" state be then due

- low energy (calories required to run my body and maintain body temperature)

- low sugar (despite I don't suffer from diabetes)

- low electrolytes (if yes, what in particular could it be?)

What do you suspect?

Also, what kind of electrolyte supplements do you recommend? I think I should start with lecithin 1200, b-complex + b12 (cont. choline) and perhaps some magnesium, potassium and salt little more.
