Alex must calculate exactly what day the moon will be completely in its new phase. On the back of a map Alex finds a plot of the moons output of light intensity for the past forty-two days since the first of April (7, 0.5), (14, 1.0), (21, 0.5), (28, 0.0), (35, 0.5), (42, 1.0).

b = π/14 is the amount of light intensity change per period

1/2 (42 + 28) = 35

b ∙ (c+2π)/b=35∙b

c + 2π= 35π/2

c = (35π-2π)/2

c = 33π/2

d = 1/2 (1.0 + 0.0) =1/2

a=1/2, b=π/14, c=33π/2, d= 1/2

y = 1/2 + 1/2 sin[π/2 (x-33)]

With this equation, the next day without light can be found

It has been 42 days since April 1st

42+14= 56, where 42 is the days past and 14 is two weeks from then

y = 1/2 + 1/2 sin[π/2 (x-33)]

y= 1/2 + 1/2 sin[π/2 (56-33)]

y= 1/2 + 1/2 sin[π/2 (23)]

y = 1/2 + 1/2 (-0.99)

y = 0.005, which would be the day with the least light

-Students learn how to better manage their time for home work, balance their social lives, and in generally use their time more wisely and not procrastinate, at a time when it doesn't really matter and/or have a greater effect on their lives.

-it will make them more well rounded for the real world. they can learn to be more more outspoken and outgoing.

-they make money so they have a greater understanding of what it is to be an adult, make them less greedy .

I don't know if I'm going in the right direction, more help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any money to buy a new camera. i would be willing the repair the camera. the video works fine. my friend said that i could be missing data, or something like that. i have no idea what to do. i have so much trouble remembering specific dates and events! Tommorrow is the test and i'm really scared i'll have no idea what events to write about in the writing prompt. I do well when i know what the topic is because i make a rough draft and study it before class. Any tips on what and how i should study and how i should approach the test would be great!
